New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse in Ashlesha

The path of our consciousness, the Moon crosses and intersects with Sun our soul on August 11th in the star field known as Ashlesha Nakshatra, governed by the mystical Naga. It also marks the end of the summers eclipses with the third and final horse shoe or partial solar eclipse visible to those in the northern and eastern part of Europe.

New Moons are about withdrawing our energy and turning within, eclipses are often described as a time seizing, but more significantly they are a time for a deep release as the Sun our soul is set free from the smoky haze Rahu.

With the two planets associated with the mind, Moon and Mercury, involved in this eclipse, it may leave us feeling more emotional than normal as well as adrift in a sea of irrationality, intensifying our thoughts, creating a pressure on our nervous system.

Ashlesha clings and protects what is does not want to part with, it is alchemical and transformative field in the sky, that suggests that the matters that arise during in this 28 day cycle will be insightful, yet likely a struggle to let go of.

As we become intertwined with retrograde Mercury enhancing the access our higher senses to become harmonised with our environment so that we may instinctively navigate the path forward.  We are in a time to be mindful of our speech, communication and of our thoughts checking in to see if they are true and clear. Not allowing the lower caustic reactions to take hold.

Understanding this cycle , think of what a snake must endure in the process shedding it’s skin. As their eyes become clouded over, to the point in which they can no longer see, they become more sensitive and much more prone to strike. They instinctively understand it is the time to slow down and retreat into a safe and secure place, allowing themselves the space to transform.  Ashlesha Nakshatra is a master of the senses, the guardians of treasures within, connected to vibrational energy picking up the pulses in the surrounding areas; tapping in and tracking its energy.

Ashlesha is leading into the deep spaces of our mind, discovering our treasures, our shadows and the impulse of our desires. Preparing for the birth of something new and far better.

With all the difficult planetary influences at this time, the recommendation in August is to create more time and space for rest, retreat and relaxation. In the days leading up to a new Moon is when the Moon's energy is weak and vulnerable, which translates to physical and mental fatigue or weakness. So take time for yourself. If you can do not start new projects or make important moves or decisions until September.

We are in the home stretch of the toughest retrogrades of the year and some pretty intense eclipses, keep up and you will be kept up!

Full Moon total Lunar Eclipse Shravana Nakshatra

Untitled-1.jpg

In a solar eclipse the path of our consciousness, the Moon crosses and intersects with Sun our soul. During a lunar eclipse, it is the shadow the the earth, the material world that is cast upon the Moon, where by our concrete reality  becomes unclear and can seem disrupted.

During the eclipse on July 27th this disruption is compounded a retrograde Mercury where our intellect seated in the electric domain of the Naga,   a very volatile point in the sky that rattles and impairs our judgment.

We have all been either dealing with or witnessing the power play and tension between retrograde Mars and Ketu now with the Moon joining them in the abode of Capricorn we are being lead into the deep spaces of our mind, discovering our treasures, our shadows and the impulse of our desires.

The eclipsed Moon in Shravana Nakshatra suggests that there is something to sort out in our direction and in our path,  how we perceive our path and how we see ourselves becoming individualised, where we have the choice to either we take hold our time or become subject to it.

The unavoidable changes are already taking place and you have the power to set in motion what is right for you, now is the time to get the behind the scenes work done and to get yourself orientated in the direction where you want to go.

With Saturn  sitting in the the center of the galaxy and being  12th from the moon in Mula Nakshatra it is whispering support and giving us internal and wise counsel during this period, connecting with our roots and the depth of who we are.

Mars will end its retrograde in the end of August where we will start to experience forward movement in our physical world and with less much inner tension. Until then its energies will be heightened teaching us to tune into the intensity of our feelings and to be present with them, not act on them only to be conscious of them.

This incredible Lunar eclipse will take place on Guru Purnima where all our teachers and spiritual masters become more accessible, making it much easier to connect their energy.

Fill yourself with light everyday and see that you are a part of creation and that you are creation. Examine and refresh your tools and thoughts, stay committed to the connection with your heart and with your higher mind.  We are in a special time and where prayers and mantra are amplified make use of them. Its a good time to be introspective, observing what is awakening and what needs to be let go, give this energy space to take hold, try not to talk to excessively, just be present.

I will be giving readings at the the European Yoga Festival in France from July 28- August 4th as well as teaching three workshops

I send you love and luck during this eclipse cycle

New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse the Birth of Motion

IMG_6021.jpg

New Moon solar eclipse in the domain of Punarvasu is the first of this summer’s three eclipses.

Solar eclipses are about change and are most powerful and destabilizing in the areas of their path of visibility, where they create a heightened and sensitive atmosphere.

Eclipse effects do not come and go on they day they arrive, their effects last for months. This particular eclipse on July 12/13th (depending where you live) will not come with a dramatic flare for most, but it will make sure we take notice of its presence by delivering more subtle effects that become clearer in the upcoming weeks beginning with a whisper and building to a thundering roar at the end of the month with the total lunar eclipse.

The star of this celestial event is the Nakshatra Punarvasu whose message is of the pure shakti, a rebirth and creation, bringing the light of Jupiter to the forefront softening this eclipses edges. It is calling from our deep unconscious to heal our divisiveness and the contention within us clearing the way to an accelerated motion, particularly in areas where you have been resisting change. Purnavasu is a Nakshatra of patterns and wants us to look at the patterns in our life where we have a chance to examine and redefine, to go out of our comfort zone, Rahu pushes for this action with its eclipse.

We have been in a messy period for the last few months where at times we may have felt that we do not know what to do, what to think or what is our purpose and downright irritable at times. This is largely seen by the influence of  Ketu joined with retrograde Mars, and a retrograde Saturn aspecting the Sun challenging our purpose and our foundation in the roar of tension and frustration. The two eclipses this month will spotlight where you need to take notice and give attention for the next several months.

Fill yourself with light everyday see that you are a part of creation and that you are creation. Examine and refresh your tools and thoughts, stay committed to your path we are in an important opening where prayers and mantra is amplified make use of them. Its a good time to be introspective, observing what is awakening and give this energy space to take hold. Eat light on this day and if you can avoid being out during the eclipse.

Please note that during eclipse the start and commence of the new beginnings, important ventures and large purchases should be avoided in the days before and at least 3 days after.

Full Moon in Mula Nakshatra On June 27 US / early June 28 in Early Morning

The story of time and karma as told through the eyes of the Moon in the company of Saturn, happens  at the very the center of our galaxy, a place loaded with an immense potency and power, where a massive black hole is known to reside.

The Moon is now caught between two powerful malefics leaving nowhere for our emotional and mental body to hide. The penetrating lesson Saturn delivers to our Manas ( mind) is one of circumspection and forethought, a commitment in taking ownership of our thoughts, feelings and our actions. Insisting the way forward is one done in maturity, rooted in the security of who we really are.

We are evolving and expanding as our consciousness grasps the consequence of time and the gravity of our choices in a very tangible way. There is no better moment to find ourselves , the lessons of deliberation and consequences can lead us to a very deep spiritual experience.

These magnificent planets are conspiring for your success, freeing you for new opportunities and perspectives. The revolution and revelation are stirring within us. The beauty arises when we are open to what is and who we came here to be.

Those running a Ketu or Saturn dashas or have a Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini or Aquarius or Capricorn ascendent  or have the moon in Sagittarius will feel the impact of this the most.

We are getting just at the beginning of tough summer with the door to the eclipses now open

Seeking - New Moon Taurus Vedic Astrology

79d233b21c0e027940f8f7ded36b15b0.jpg

The new Moon cycle that begins on June 13th in the Nakshatra of Mrigashira leads us into questioning our values and our opportunities. We are seeking a social and emotional connection that is linked to what we value, and the alignment with those who support us.

The Moon is powerfully placed in the home of Taurus where she is quite stable and strong, falling in a section of the sky owned by the nakshatra Mrigashira, whose resource stimulates a need within us to pursue our personal truth and to make a decision by choosing one direction, not falling prey by to many choices where we only wind up in frozen confusion.

We may be burdened by doubt and insecurities, or with a feeling of lack, where we think we need more inorder to move forward, but the reality is we have way too much and what we are lacking is a trust from within. This the core and fundamental truth that keeps our attention divided and unfocused on the one path requires our full nourishment to develop it.

A Taurus new Moon has an agenda of manifestation by stimulating us to be present in the this physical and miraculous earth plane, connecting with our desires and our senses, Mrigashira is the catalyst of this, it teaches us to deeply appreciate what we have right in front of us and to follow relentlessly it with the intelligence of our heart .

The revolution and revelation are stirring within us. The beauty arises when we are open to what is and who we came here to be.

What path will you take ? What holds you back?

I send you love and luck in this New Moon Cycle

Sun Transits Taurus May 14 – June 15

When the Sun takes its throne to the home of Taurus, Venus' fixed earth sign we naturally take more time to enjoy the blooms that greet us, the birds that sing and the simple and sensual pleasures the life offers to us.

The Sun and Venus are not natural friends, why you say? .. Its challenges the Me (Sun) vs. We (Venus) raising issues of cooperation and flexibility.

The first two weeks of the Sun’s transit in Taurus the Sun is in good position position with no malefic influences.

Mercury and Venus who normally travel with the Sun are free and get to function optimally without being burned by the Sun creating an optimistic and energetic environment.

Take the opportunity now and enjoy the delight the Sun is giving in the the home of gracious Venus.  As the the Sun travels through Summer lasting until the Fall  (June 15th through Mid October) it will have a tough time in each sign starting with Gemini all the way until Virgo challenged by hard and difficult aspects and from Saturn and Mars and a conjunction with the north node in Cancer. Libra will also not welcome the Sun, you see it is the other half of the Venus ruled signs.

Take it easy and enjoy the Sun in Taurus and find your flowers

I send you love and luck with its transit

In the darkest phase of this exalted Moon is where we are being asked to review how we have limited our growth with our fear based thoughts, where we’ve contracted in an attempt to stay safe.

Taurus is a sign that truly understand all the comforts that life has to offer, it is the embodiment grounded self worth and resources. The Moon governs the manas, our feeling based sensory system of the mind it is our intuit. Cradling the dark Moon is the brilliant and discriminating Kritika nakshatra, cutting right to the the heart of the matter with quickness and clarity. Ruled by Agni (fire deity) it illuminates what was unseen and creates a path in which we put ourselves first.

This is a not tender Moon it is more of a laser Moon, whose agenda is interested in the shifting our relationship with abundance and prosperity, renewing it with inspiration, focusing on material stability, harmony and the improvement of our surroundings. Igniting  new structures that are born out of unsentimental re-arrangement and decisive action, the creation of streamlined systems/patterns in our lives, the editing written material, what we own and in some cases the editing our relationships.

The Strength of a Peaceful Warrior Mars and Ketu Conjunction Vedic Astrology

30704052_10211590915151819_2283131333928407532_n.jpg

On May 2nd Mars the planet of action and force moved into its exaltation position, joining the smokey and headless planet Ketu in Capricorn where it remains until November 5th 2018.

Mars the soldier planet can be impulsive and fiery, it gives us the necessary energy for strategy, protection, strength and focus.

Ketu the shadow planet can behave like Mars yet it has more of a spiritual warrior and seeker influence stemming from its dissatisfaction and a need for independence, Ketu reveals our past life karmas and a desire for liberation. The blind spot Ketu gives us is a  know it all attitude that is non negotiable.

Mars transiting through Capricorn for the next five months will feel long and lengthy due to its retrograde pattern. Mars will pass Ketu three times during its stay, with the final pass September 22nd before finally moving into Aquarius on November 5th.

As Mars enjoys an exalted status in Saturn's male sign, Capricorn, we can expect a higher expression of Mars' energy becoming more energised and focused with a desire to act and to make bolder moves. There is a great deal of potential with Mars over the next four weeks, as we inherit Mars strength and willpower to accomplish significant work on projects that requires planning and discipline.

This more positive expression will last until the first few days June at which time there will be a notable shift in energy as Mars comes closer to Ketu on the 7th & 8th in exact degrees- Mars, Saturn and Ketu are not social planets and during this period is is a time where the storm begins to brew with intensity lasting until November.

Where this is occurs in your chart and what Mars rules and your personal Dasha (planet) cycle helps to better navigate its effects. We also must consider Saturn in this mix as he will be retrograde until September.

Overall this is a time for us all in which  Mars and Ketu are generating a lot of power we should focus our efforts more strategically and really begin to work for peace.

I send you lots of love and luck with its transit

In the discovery of your individual power do take care that you do not get lead into isolation or use force. Remember you are part of the whole -not a- part from the whole.

Sit up tall connect with your breath the prana  that which links you to your manifest body practicing your japa, call in on your higher understanding of yourself.

Yogi Bhajan gave a great meditation that is quick and effective. He said that when we are challenged that we should sit up straight, close our eyes inhale, hold the breath  and mentally chant VICTORY and repeat as many times as needed

Look up to the sky on the days surrounding the full Moon, just before the Moon and Jupiter set in the west you will see the Moon and Jupiter separated by only 6 degrees,  having appeared in the night sky reaching minimum separation near dawn on April 30th. Venus is also there, it will be well worth your attention

Enjoy the strength of the Sun, the comfort of Venus and even the restraint of Saturn as we continue to experience the unfolding of the spring season.

I send you love and luck with the beautiful Libra Moon

When All of You Shows Up - New Moon Vedic Forecast April

IMG_3939.jpg

The blazing new moon in Aries, hosted by the fast paced Ashwini Nakshatra the star of energy and speed,  located in very sensitive a part of the sky known as a Gandanta point  ‘the karmic end of knot’.

This is a place where situations that arise embody the more esoteric soul lessons and the deeply ingrained patterns that require extra patience, and emotional equanimity so that we may see with ultimate clarity what is needing to be polish and smoothed out.  It is a place that work with us to break free from any conditioning that is holding us back.

The strength of the Sun in the very early degrees of Aries where it is at its strongest exaltation point, promised a month filled with activity and forward movement. Mars the ruler of Aries is somewhat subdued by the influence of Saturn and Jupiter helping to ensure we make deliberate decisions so that we may achieve lasting results.

The new Moon also has the support of two great benifics Venus and Jupiter encouraging us to seek the counsel of the wise teachers  as we decide which direction is a good for new undertakings.

Mercury the planet of our active intelligence, communication and nervous system is slowly awakening ending its retrograde on the same day as the New Moon, its not quite time to celebrate since Mercury will be at a stand still will not have its full strength until early May,   but thankfully for us all the long retrograde has finally ended.

During this new moon cycle Saturn will begin its retrograde on the 18th , in this period we will have two significant planets with allot to say retrograding for the new few months.

Retrograde planets are tricky they tend to behave and give results opposite to the sign they are in. Jupiter in Libra is behaving and giving results as if it is Aires making it a bit more martial with its influence.

Saturn in  Sagittarius will begin its retrograde on the 18th and will behave and give results  as if  were in Gemini, which is softer and gentler space.  This means these two planets are exchanging their working caps, so to speak. Jupiter a little tougher and Saturn a little softer

We have great and power days starting from the New Moon through the 19th so make use of this time with the Sun and Moon are both exalted on the 18th known as  ‘Akshya Triksha’  a very auspicious day long term growth and power. On the 19th Venus leaves the hot company of the Sun in the fiery home of Mars for a her power place, her own home where she can rejuvenate, build and create enjoying distance from the sun for the next few months reconnecting with her creative source. A very powerful few days to connect with what you desire what you want to initiate .

Summary

Its time to build our futures with greater maturation and awareness. We started the off the month under some significant challenges and now slowly we are to beginning to  feel and experience the juice and the colours of life return.  We are now moving into fresh energies and potentials marked by inspiration, freedom and  a clear purpose  Emerging from a dark winter ready to break free with authenticity and wisdom so we can live more genuinely and be available to the new adventures that offer us excitement & growth.

This New Moon cycle is a period where we have full access to our sense of self and a deep strength infused with life’s rich tapestry, may we take root in the  glory of who we are and expand to the stars and beyond finding our destiny that truly fulfils us.

I send you lots of love during the new Moon Cycle

Conscious and Subconscious Discussions, Vedic Full Moon March

photo: geurlsahin

Our final full Moon of the month on March 31st  has made its way into the house of Virgo where is has gained strength and power. Accompanied by the Nakshatra Hasta the star of awareness lending the Moon its refinement and skill, drawing our attention back to the details, awakening our alertness.

We have had an overload of Piscean energy this month where our mind and hearts were thrown into the deep end of fantasy and overwhelm, the Virgo full Moon will start the shift from dream state to an awakened state.

The Virgo and Pisces axis of the Moon and the Sun both at 17° creates an environment where we can find the balance between our emotional perception and our informational processing, activating a time in which our our mental energy is stimulated and put into action during the full Moon period.

There is an undercurrent of tension made by the gaze of Saturn to the Moon and  Mars’s gaze to both the Sun and Mercury. Creating conflict with our conscious and subconscious mind, that is in need of resolution.

We are in a phase  where we are required to find the mysterious balance between courage and fear when it comes to making decisions, starting with the simple and mundane such as bringing back our attention to our tasks and duties, so we get out of our fog and out of our funk.

The start the process of moving forward even if it is internal steps of action is a good decision. It is time to  return to our bodies and to our concrete reality , focusing on what we can control.

In the days directly after the Full Moon we will have an tight and tense conjunction between Mars and Saturn the most difficult of its conjunction lasting from the 1st of April until the 4th

People with who have their rising and or planets in Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn and Aquarius will feel this most, but all of us will have to deal with this conjunction and its disruptions.

Pay attention , be kind , be fearless

I send you lots of love during the Full Moon Cycle

Building Strength in Our Stillness Vedic New Moon March

The connection to our mystical and philosophical side is activated by the Pisces new Moon but we are not allowed to reside in the dreamland for long, we become awakened with reality of who we are and with what is not real or true, to face what we avoid and what is painful for us to look at.

The task of setting our inspirations straight is given with the strike of the Nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada whose goal is to remove what it is unanchored nonsense and our inclinations to avoid what is uncomfortable, soberly awakening us to who we are right now and where our actions and thought patterns are leading us.

The full gaze the Moon will receive from Mars and Rahu can intensify our feelings during this period, giving rise to old issues to be dealt with that can no longer be swept under the carpet. Any inclination we have for escapism is squashed in this new moon cycle, we are being asked to work to build strength in our stillness and with rigorous honesty.

Jupiter the ruler of Pisces is the energetic depositor of the 4 planets currently in Pisces  affecting the new moon phase due to Jupiter retrograde and weakened position in the last degrees of Libra where it unable to give its full power resulting in a time that is difficult to manifest or achieve tangible results.

During this cycle look squarely at your shadows, take control of your thoughts and your self programming and create better path-ways. Invest in yourself and your spirit. Fight for your destiny everyday by building grit and stamina, it is in this discipline you will achieve what your heart soul desires.

Meditation for the Month Clearing the Subconscious

To Begin Sit  comfortable in a cross-legged position with a straight spine bring your hands together in front of your heart and repeat 3 times Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo before beginning the exercise

Mudra: Interlace your fingers and cross the thumbs. Bend the elbows and bring the hands up and in until they meet at the level of the heart center with the palms facing the body. The mudra is held against the body.

Eyes: Closed focused at the thrid eye

Breath and Mantra: Inhale deeply and hold the breath in for 45-60 seconds. Meditate at the third eye point and silently chant 'Har' (Har sounds like Hud)

Exhale. This breath is done for a maximum of 5 times.

To finish: Inhale and exhale rapidly (2 seconds inhale, 2 seconds exhale) six times and then relax.

Depending on your breath capacity, this exercise takes 3-5 minutes. As you are developing your ability to hold the breath in for the required time, you may find that you need to take recovery breaths before your next inhalation and hold.

May the long time sunshine upon you all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on, Sat Nam

When Yogi Bhajan taught this meditation, he gave the class one rapid recovery inhale-exhale before the fourth breath and two rapid recovery inhale-exhales before the fifth breath. Gradually train yourself to hold the breath in for the required time for five consecutive breaths, but, if you need to re-oxygenate yourself between breaths, you may do so.

Becoming Tender Warriors Vedic Astrology March

painting by Jan Davidsz de Heem 1660

painting by Jan Davidsz de Heem 1660

The field of action in March will be in the house of Pisces with  so much planetary energy directed it's way there is no way it's effects will go unnoticed this month, we will all get our share of it.

In March we have two full Moons, two planets retrograding, a new Moon, Mars moving in with Saturn for an extended stay.  Exalted Venus and a debilitated Mercury.

The Cosmic Gallery is open and lets begin with the first masterpiece - The Soma of the First full Moon.

On March 1 or 2nd (depending on where you live) our first Full Moon takes place in house of Leo. The Moon is filled with the light of the Sun and she feels at home in the house of the of the King, where she awakens our passions with and emerging force like a spring, where we want to indulge in ourselves and in our perspectives rather than share our wealth.  Fiery emotions can fill us under her influence as our intentions become focused on individuality and our free will.

Self care and tending to our needs is important, be sure not to steal others happiness as a result, real kings and and queens share their wealth and share their light with others.

Venus & Mercury

The day after the full Moon, Venus and Mercury move into Pisces where Venus takes her exalted position and Mercury becomes debilitated and weak. Venus in Pisces opens our receptiveness to love and our desires,  but our intellect (Mercury) becomes clouded with feelings and a dreamy devotion that is not anchored in reality. This combination makes for a good time for healing emotional wounds not necessarily a time to commit to new ventures as our intellect is impaired, wait a bit later in the month, when it is retrograde. Yes, I said retrograde more info on that below.

Venus and Mercury together is a hallmark time for writing and reflection, Venus will leave Pisces on the 25th of March so do take some time and write your story and then read it at the second Full Moon to see if it is real and true.

Mars

On March 8th Mars enters Sagittarius where it will remain until early May this placement can bring frustration with authority figures where both sides we are pushing forcing principles and ideas on to the other. Mars joining Saturn makes for a potentially troublesome time where we can become combative about our philosophical proclivities and our beliefs systems. The full gaze of Mars will square all the planets in Pisces as will Rahu so it becomes a touchy area and with Mercury in its weakened state really, really do take care of what you say. Better to be a strategic champion not a reactive crusader.

The force and power that Mars brings together with Saturn in Sagittarius makes is a fertile time to put our teachings and our dharma into practice. Keeping the focus in your lane and what you are doing and rather than destroy relations in order to make progress.

Jupiter Retrograde

On March 9th Jupiter will begin its retrograde motion for a period of 4 months creating an environment of reflection of our principles and beliefs.  This retrograde motion on a personal level can  make us face potentially painful truths of  how our frustrated hopes and dreams may be influencing our partners and key relationships, revealing where we need to own the status quo of our lives and not project the results on our closest relations. Again focusing on our lane is important lesson here.

New Moon

On March 17th the New Moon joins Mercury and Venus already in Pisces, highlighting our mystical and philosophical work we put forth in the world, are we tuning in or are we tuning out? The strike of the Nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada awakens us to a glimpse of who we are at this moment setting our inspiration straight with a jolt. The full gaze of Mars and Rahu intensifies the New Moon as the dreaminess of Pisces and it's inclination for escapism becomes challenged.  Things from the past, old feelings arise and the truth of what we are denying to be seen and examined.

Retrograde Mercury

On March 22nd Mercury will go retrograde and will not go direct until April 15th. While Venus is with Mercury take advantage of this as it is a very creative time. In Vedic Astrology when a debilitated planet goes retrograde the negative effects are reduced, so it not to be feared in its retrograde time in this house.

Full Moon

The second Full Moon of the month on the 30th will push us to be more precise and focused, we are attempting to get control.  It will be opposite the Sun in Pisces, and her agenda is to anchor and harmonise the energy Pisces where our mind and hearts were thrown into the deep end of the pool where we could have felt confused and overwhelmed.

Summary

As the winter is melting away our spirits and hearts are awakened and being given a amazing reality check. We are more inspired and feeling our hearts desire harmonising our lessons of learning  The first full moon commences the celebration of Holi  a springtime festival of colour  and connectivity unifying love and life force.

Pisces is the field of activation this month so if you have planets  in your natal chart its becomes even  more important area for you to pay attention.

We are beginning a cycle of retrograde planets starting with Jupiter and Mercury this month. We can find ourselves less confident in our intellect and our communications, making it a good time to say less instead use the creative and reflective energies to examine the stories of our lives our patterns, beliefs and  relations. It is a good month to write your story  and reflect on it to see if it is really true.

There is allot to take in and process this month that leads us to our greater potential with each step we are becoming the tender warriors of of our lives, eliminating the illusion and confusion with care and precision.

26114109_1676113929090915_7228123287969847044_n.jpg

Aquarius is the field action for us all for the next 28 days awakened by the New Moon Solar Eclipse taking place on February 15th.

Saturn is the acting as the governor placing our focus and attention on our greater good, leading us into the realm of ideas and principles worth committing too, evaluating the contribution of these ideas how they serve our higher purpose.

Aquarius it is the active masculine expression of Saturn grounding us in thought and purposeful direction where we will focus on our bigger picture, long-term commitments and the effort required to create the life we want. Saturn is the root of the trees that bear the sweetest fruit.

Joining this symphony of planets is the influence of Mars, and Jupiter, who all cast their gaze on the eclipse.  Their influence is felt in our actions and with our courage, revealing a deep committed nature aimed at the Aquarian concepts of universal duty, connection, and service.

The Nakshatra married to this Moon is Dhanishta symbolized by Shiva’s Drum of Creation - it is the heartbeat of life with it’s universal rhythm that plays through us and all around our existence. It is a Dhanishta is star of value and meaning, not the superficial or the mundane it s that which goes beyond our individual desire.

Align and surrender to a greater divine pulse, the very beat of your heart that calls you from within. Commit to what you love and dance with this drumbeat of time -there isn’t a  moment to waste.

On a cautionary note Mercury and Venus are also getting eclipsed impacting our communication habits and how we share in our partnership and with others, it punctuates a cycle of increased volatility in love, partnership, and finances.

Meditation for the Month- Beaming and Creating the Future

To Begin Sit  comfortable in a cross-legged position with a straight spine bring your hands together in front of your heart and repeat 3 times Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo before beginning the exercise.

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose. Stretch the spine up and become very still.

Eye Focus: Eyes are closed.

Mudra: Relax the hands in Gyan Mudra on the knees.

Part One

Drink the breath in a single, deep, long sip through a rounded mouth. Close the mouth and exhale through the nose, slowly and completely. Continue for 7-15 minutes.

Part Two

Inhale and hold the breath comfortably. As you suspend the breath in, meditate on zero. Think in this way: "All is zero; I am zero; each thought is zero; my pain is zero; that problem is zero; that illness is zero."

Meditate on all negative, emotional, mental and physical conditions and situations. As each thing crosses the mind, bring it to zero—a single point of light; a small, insignificant non-existence.

Exhale and repeat. Breathe in a comfortable rhythm. Continue for 7-11 minutes.

Part Three

Think of the quality or condition you most desire for your complete happiness and growth. Summarize it in a single word like "wealth," "health, "relationship," "guidance," "knowledge," "luck." It has to be one word. Lock on that word and thought. Visualize facets of it. Inhale and suspend the breath as you beam the thought in a continuous stream. Lock onto it. Relax the breath as needed. Continue for 5-15 minutes.

To End: Inhale and move the shoulders, arms and spine. Then stretch the arms up, spread the fingers wide, and breathe deeply a few times.

To End May the long time sunshine upon you all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on, Sat Nam

Embracing All That You Are -Full Moon Eclipse Vedic Forecast

indian-goddess-1762924_1920-768x576.jpg

The Full Moon of January 31st will be eclipsed for over an hour in the highly sensitive sign of Cancer. Throwing us into the heart and mystery of our purpose.

Lunar eclipses signify turning points and shifts in consciousness and are in many ways more significant than solar eclipses, this is because the Moon is our inner reflection, our stored memory, what we have lived and how we experienced it. The coming into understanding of who we are.

Our Moon this month is accompanied by the Nakshatra Ashlesha ruled by the Naga the divine and mystical serpents who dwell deep in the underworld, they are the protectors of vast treasures and gifts, well known for being cunning, jealous, and sometimes poisonous.

The Eclipsed Moon reveals  a turning point, but we are somehow stuck in the doorway unsure how to proceed with one foot in the past and one foot not knowing where to go.

Old feelings, where we either deny their existence or would prefer to forget,  arise for many in the days surrounding the eclipse.  Replaying patterns from past traumas, projecting into our present moment causing interruption to current life, stuck on the replay button of all our stored emotions and thoughts locked in the vault of our unconscious mind.

The key to this Moon is to tune into the full power of our heart not to our emotions, step into the selfless love and devotion, which leads directly to your heart where you have the power of a thousand Suns.

It is in this space of honest reflection where  our sensitivity is magnified, our receptivity enhanced, our intuition becomes fully available to us once we cross this threshold of the Naga who guard the gate of changes and rewards.

Venus is under pressure lasting  until the 10th of February. Keeping agitation fuelled and triggering conflicts not only in our personal relationships, but professional relationships as well.

Do your best to be graceful and honest  speak your truth, which is far easier now with Mercury having moved away from Saturn.

Summary

Eclipses have the power to transform our core beliefs and deepest fears into courage by asking us to tackle the persistent demons of self-doubt. We are in a closing a cycle of karma, finishing one chapter to start a new, and one in which we are willing to work hard for. Mars will be there supporting our efforts until mid March.

Tips for the day of the Eclipse

Yogi Bhajan said that during the time of the eclipse is not when we should allow its light to touch us.  In the Vedic tradition it is also taught to look out go out during an eclipsed Moon it is considered very in auspicious. So if you can avoid then out then.

Climbing Our Mountains New Moon In Capricorn Vedic Astrology

unnamed-6.jpg

Our first New Moon of the year finds itself looking for space in the crowded house of Capricorn who is playing host to three other planets - Sun, Venus and Ketu all who have come together to declare .....What we relate too requires an adjustment.

Over the next 30 days the energy of Capricorn will permeate our lives, where we experience some needed relief from the fiery and provocative influences- to a more focused, meditative and methodical mindset as we take a closer look at the road map of our lives.

Capricorn is the feminine reflective quality of Saturn where we feel it emotionally and experience it psychologically. The greatness that Capricorn gives is the capacity to face what we need too and the endurance to withstand the challenges and fears we must face.

On the 17th when Mars moves into Scorpio for six weeks lending us a tremendous amount of courage and needed energetic charge to face our emotional weaknesses, solidifying the maturation of this Capricorn influence, leading us closer into the physical reality of our goals one step at a time.

Until the 28th Saturn and Mercury  remain conjunct keeping us serious and straight to get our facts straight and clear and putting our attention on the goal.

Venus the ruler of love and abundance has been travelling with the Sun through it’s fire and intense heat since last month putting a tense spotlight on our relationships, friendships and alliances that will reach a turning point by the end of the month. Venus is in a stage of transformation from our morning star into our evening star  not able to give us much energy,  by next month she will be back inspiring us from the brightness of the heavens.

This New Moon cycle is all about growing up and creating stable inner structure so that we may receive. Bringing our awareness to find the source of our fear that holds us back to connect with it our heart and then release so that we may connect with what is eternal and true

What Do We Believe In? Gemini January 1st Full Moon Vedic Forecast

c856e775e48673d4be0e1cbcd0e2e817--vintage-twins-identical-twins.jpg

Our first Full Moon of the year finds the King and Queen of the sky the Sun and Moon in direct communication with one another with Venus, Sun, Saturn and Jupiter all giving the Moon their counsel. In contrast to the New Moon we had in December this Full moon is asking what do we really believe?

The Moon is reaching her peak of fullness in sign of Gemini in the grip of the fiery red Nakshatra of Ardra, the territory of Shiva.

Directly opposite to the Moon is the Sun, Venus and Saturn all in Sagittarius. Jupiter joins in the conversation with its 10th aspect from the sign Libra .

The Moon representing our emotions and mind is soaking up the energy of Gemini colouring her with intellect, flexibility and humour as we examine our beliefs, our biases and perceptions.

We are calling from our deep unconscious to heal divisiveness and contention within us making sure we remove the obstacles as we start to shift into higher frequencies that the New Year will bring us.

With the starvation of Venus by the Sun and the influence of Saturn we begin to think critically about our relationships, associations and where we spend our time and resources. Ultimately bringing in new understanding, creating healthy boundaries and creating new pathways in how we more effectively navigate our relations.

Ardra is an intense star that releases a rainstorm held within our hearts and mind that is ultimately renewing and refreshing  us like a storm.  It gives us the skill to hunt and seek what calls us and touches at the core of our being and find that which provides us true nourishment.

Ardra is a fearless and courageous star facilitating  an opening to an emotional clearing in order to see more clearly and challenge old thought, old patterns and  the dogma that was raised from the December New Moon.

The power of effort is great intesefied with these planetary influences when harness it to open our awareness to a greater understanding of who we are and where we are meant to be. Yet controlling our anger and frustration and finding the appropriate release is one of the keys of its lessons.

Summary

The Universe is ready to make our highest visions come true as long as we clear the way and make room for them.

May we touch earth and the stars to discover our stillness and truth. Releasing unnecessary chatter, so that we may we drop into our hearts and our higher minds and find the magical place where heaven and earth collide.

If you are lucky and have a clear sky look up on the evening of the Full Moon next to her is the bright red star Ardra Shiva’s abode known to astronomers as Betelgeuse.

This is our first of two Full Moons in the month of January. It is a busy, busy month. Take good care and I send you a lot of luck and love

Meditation for the Month

Mandhavani Kriya: Mantra to Clear Blocks

Posture: Sit in a comfortable cross-legged position with a straight spine and repeat 3 times Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo before beginning the exercise.

Mudra: Bring the hands in front of the throat, forearms paraIlel to the ground. The left hand is palm down; the palm is flat and the fingers point to the right. Extend the left thumb toward the throat. Bring the right thumb between the left thumb and index finger, placing it in the center of the left palm and allow the fingers of the right hand to rest on the back of the left hand. Lock the right thumb in place and apply firm pressure on the left palm. Hold the position at the level of the throat about six inches in front of the body.

Eyes: Closed

Mantra: Aad Sach, Jugaad Sach, Hai Bhay Sach, Naanak Hosee Bhay Sach

Breath: Inhale deeply and completely exhale as the mantra is chanted in a monotone.  Inhale and continue. This mantra is from the 17th Ashtapadi of Sukhmani Sahib and was given by Baba Siri Chand

Time: 31 minutes.

Be sure to keep the arms parallel to the ground. The key to this meditation is locking the right thumb and keeping firm pressure on the center of the left hand. Your thumb may become sore after a while but be strong and don’t give an inch.

May the long time sunshine upon you all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on, Sat Nam

Ketu in Sravana Nakshatra Listening

1e19f31aa947fcd96886e8e0b1b59bcf.jpg

Ketu has moved into the Nakshatra of Sravana where it will remain until August 29th 2018

The North and South Node are critical keys in understanding our deepest nature and the karmic path laid out before us in our birth chart. Their placement creates an axis point that divides our chart into two halves revealing the karmic knots we must untie.

Ketu the South Node shows us what in our life we are overly attached too and what we rely on far too often. It’s the placement in our chart shows accumulated knowledge, experience, our gifts as well as the tendencies we came in with.

Ketu's placement in our chart is where we retreat when things get too hard and we are seeking safety and familiar comfort. Ketu tricks us in thinking if we remain there or behave certain way we will be ok. However Ketu is an unconditional planet and wants absolute security, absolute certainty it is the castle where within its walls we are never satisfied and what we are really looking for can never be truly found in the house where it resides.

Ketu is a necessary companion on our journey and there is much to be thankful to Ketu it has served us in many, many ways. It provides us endurance through tough times, it removes what does no longer serves us even when we are ready to let go.

The ultimate goal is to merge the two nodes Rahu and Ketu together and not rely on one or the other too much. Utilising them consciously so that we can better navigate our karmic debts and pursue our individual path of dharma. The poison points get created in our charts when we use one of them excessively and of the two Ketu is often over due to its familiarity.

Sravana the Nakshatra Ketu resides in until end of August is filled with the deepest of lessons and perfect to take us through nearly 9 months of the year ahead.

The teaching of this Nakshatra is Naad the great sound and vibration in everything that sound the ‘KUND’ that created everything.  Teaching us to listen with all of our senses to see the interconnectedness and the cultivation of our higher sensory awareness including the sensing of oneself.

This is also the message 2018 is bringing to our door the Master cycle of 11. A cycle of the sound current, the power of the word, the power of prayer, the resonance and permeation in everything.

Ketu with it’s illusory smoke will try to trick and block us with a feeling and sense of lack, that what we are is not enough what we need is outside of us.

Sravana is showing us the way to the true root of all things, ruled by the Moon it reveals how the light of the world reflects in our mind. The quality of the reception will depend on how clear your mirror is.

I send you a lot of luck and love

The Root Of Happiness New Moon Vedic Forecast

10f9a2d730d4e66de72b0ee37b58a8cc.jpg

The last New Moon of the year finds itself in the Nakshatra Mula, conjunct with the Sun and Saturn who are also under Mula’s influence

Sun Saturn Conjunction until January 13th

Highlighted during this New Moon cycle is the polarity surrounding the individual self caused by the interaction of Sun and Saturn.

Saturn’s agenda is opposite to the Sun’s agenda in regards to our ego. The Sun champions individuality and the ego, while Saturn’s role is to downplay our ego’s importance.

In this conjunction Saturn can impose limited thinking and attitudes causing us to see half-empty glasses type scenarios.  While seemingly increasing our pressures and responsibilities of life that weigh heavily upon us. It can trigger negative feelings in our relationships both professional and personal where we feel we are carrying the load of responsibility and where we feel  we are not being recognised for our efforts and or our contributions.

It's an important time to pay attention to Saturn placement in your chart and clean those areas up as much as possible in regards to your thoughts and actions.

Moon in Mula Nakshatra

This is the darkest new moon of the year as it is placed very close to the galactic center of our galaxy in Sagittarius.

The Moon is the ruler of the mind, which includes our emotional responses and our thoughts that drift and stir. What we think and feel shapes and defines the world that we perceive.

It’s companions Saturn and Sun deepen and ground our energy yet  still make it vulnerable with the Moon at it lowest point reflecting the very little light of the Sun who is afflicted by the influence of Saturn.

Where we have grace is with the Mula Nakshatra which holds great spiritual power as it uproots and weeds out what is not necessary leaving a rich ground of possibility to plant our ideas and goals.

Mula's agenda is dissolution of difficulty and restrictions by removing of our false concepts our deepest fears, which are tamasic in nature. All the things that weigh us down and limit us. Pushing us forward to make deep, authentic and lasting commitments. Mula gets to the root of the issue and gives us  penetrating insight and clarity into problems that may have seemed unsolvable before.

The Moon in Mula upholds a great truth: that the nature of this world is impermanent and we are meant to find our power by sharing our light and flowing with it.

The Moon message  this cycle is to look beyond the material realm (transitory) and that what frustrates us (ego) to find what brings us real and lasting happiness

The influence of the of the Mercury retrograde supports the theme of the New Moon making it a powerful time to revise, reassess, and do a careful inventory of the past year.

Summary

The mind makes a powerful servant, but it makes a incompetent master. The blend of energies in the sky is sombre, practical and sobering. Saturn is inhibiting the ambitious and expressive light of the Sun and creating a realistic, yet doubtful, mood. The Moon in Mula pushes us to examine and find what really makes us happy. It creates a space and energy where we can let go of the dysfunctions and refuse to allow anything new that will weigh us down.

Saturn is our manifesting planet utilise its influence, the energy Saturn can either crush us or transform us. Both options take the same amount of effort it’s all about how we choose to direct our mind.

My teacher Yogi Bhajan was a Saturn teacher, He used to say the difference between you and me is I embrace my faults and accept who I am. We are all perfectly imperfect.

The key is find your truth, your mantra, your path that will carry you until your last breath, we all have to make our own connection real and not spiritual snacking. We are meant to live joyfully and fully.

I send you lots of Love and Luck

Meditation for the New Moon Cycle

Clearing the Subconscious

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine and repeat 3 times Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo before beginning the exercise.

Mudra: Interlace your fingers and cross the thumbs. Bend the elbows and bring the hands up and in until they meet at the level of the heart center with the palms facing the body. The mudra is held against the body.

Eyes: Closed.

Breath: Inhale deeply and hold the breath in for 45-60 seconds. Meditate at the third eye point

Mantra: Silently chant the sound of Har (the r in Har is pronounced as a d.  Hud)

Exhale. This breath is done for a maximum of 5 times.

To finish: Inhale and exhale rapidly (2 seconds inhale, 2 seconds exhale) six times and then relax.

Time Depending on your breath capacity, this exercise takes 3-5 minutes. As you are developing your ability to hold the breath in for the required time, you may find that you need to take recovery breaths before your next inhalation and hold.

"Hold the precious breath of life. God shall be with you right away. This is a very powerful method of prayer.'' YB

May the long time sunshine upon you all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on, Sat Nam
