Rahu reaches Mrigashira on May 20th a Mars ruled nakshatra in the shoulder of Orion, Mirgashira star field spans the early part of Gemini and the latter portion of Taurus. Nakshatras are very sensitive and they yield very different effects, in the different sections (pada’s) and signs. Rahu enters into Mrigashira at 6° 40 of Gemini under the influence of Mars, indicating that the first two months are the most intense through August 18th, as Rahu moves into Mrigashira it breaks the alliance with Ketu in Mula nakshatra and begins to break away with the old energy.

Commitment and Rewards Saturn in Capricorn January 24th Vedic Astrology

Screen Shot 2020-01-20 at 16.13.15.png

Saturn enters into the sign of Capricorn on January 24th where he will remain for the next 2.5 years.

Both Saturn and Jupiter are very prominent in 2020 Saturn both strong in their signs working in high dignity collaborating to change the arcline of our destiny on a personal level and a collective level.

When Saturn comes knocking at the door not one of us runs to answer it, preferring instead to indulge, escape in an attempt to delay the consequence of our actions or our inactions, however, Saturn’s energy is unavoidable and inescapable. What is possible is for us to change our perception of the energy that Saturn brings and thereby changing our relationship to Saturn enabling us to impact and affect the outcome to a more desirable result.

Saturn is our roots and Jupiter is our fruit, Saturn sets the firm foundation and Jupiter aspires to reach for the heavens where the sweetest fruit grows. We need strong roots to yield delicious fruit a life without Saturn, we are not able to manifest. Think about how athletes train they focus on the long term goal directing their energy to push through, to overcome by creating a mindset and discipline of commitment employing endurance and thereby establishing excellence and inheriting a power that comes with an unaltered strength of conquering perceived barriers and fears. This is the energy of Saturn its the unseen and unsexy efforts we all have to do to experience the pleasure of success and its rewards.

Now, when Saturn enters a sign or house it’s like the elephant entering into a room. There are some things that we have to accept are going to get smashed, get leveled expanding our space to receive more. This is a necessary step to awaken us, to acknowledge what we have neglected and outgrown, we shouldn’t fear it’s simply time for a change and all change is not negative.

The area Saturn moves into in your chart is where he is going to want you to work, it’s not going to be about fun and games. It will bring a focus on where we need to mature, the ending of the childish essence. The challenges come when we try to resist the evolutionary changes Saturn brings,.

In 2020 we have to get beyond our fear, beyond our resistance to the challenges and to build the capacity to endure just as an athlete does.

Saturn in the earthy female sign Capricorn brings the grace of commitment in practice is bringing organization setting priorities. Capricorn is the feminine reflective quality of Saturn gives us the experience of his energies psychologically feeling balanced in our own terms.  It wants us to use our leadership and ethics responsibly and to look at how we are relating to it and how we are using our resources. Saturn in Capricorn is in axis to the sign of Cancer this is where we need to pay attention and keep our head and heart connected. It wants us to connect with the higher octave of the Cancerian energy.

The Nakshatra Saturn will operate in is Uttara Ashadha until January 2021. This is where our soul wants us to take responsibility for our direction. This lunar house is about success and the maintenance of if. It is a place that unifies, it wants us to be victorious, to achieve but in order to be victorious, we have to battle for it and then we have to maintain it. To step forward and meet the challenge with determination is where Uttara Ashadha shines to show up and to become aware so that you can excel, conquer and win and gain the respect by holding success.

Its the creation of lasting success by pooling our resources and create alliances, we have this ability with Saturn in Uttara Ashada in 2020, this is where it shines!

The changing of our relationship to our experience of Saturn is where we can excel and take advantage of all it brings. Once we create the habit we connect with our instinct and intuition which shows us how and shows us when. Our internal celestial bodies connect with the heavenly celestial bodies. Life becomes easier. ‘Vibrate the Cosmos and the Cosmos Shall Clear the Path’- Yogi Bhajan

photo @thegoldenshield

The axis of Gemini and Sagittarius is awake and energised continuing to set the foundation of 2020.

As the Moon joins Rahu on January 10th opposing the Sun, Ketu, Saturn Jupiter and Mercury in Sagittarius our first eclipse of 2020 takes place at 25°Gemini in the nakshatra Punarvasu a place of universal light and righteousness.

Building on the theme of the December eclipse in Mula, the goddess Naritti and the Goddess Aditi are communing of freedom from restriction and limitation confronting us to deal with our personal light , to ignite our light and to create an openness in our awareness to seeing our potential.

The eclipse period that started on December 26th has been intense particularly on the world stage at the time of our January eclipse Mercury, the planet of our communication and our nervous system, is combust and closely conjunct Saturn a causing tension and heaviness in our minds and thoughts that can give a feeling of disempowerment and overwhelm in the days surrounding the eclipse, so stay focused on what you can do to make a difference.

On top of this energy Saturn, lord of time and the slow-moving conductor of destiny, is about to shift the frequency of consciousness on a mass level as it enters his female sign of Capricorn on Jan 23, for a two-and-a-half-year transit.

This planetary combination and with eclipses having already an unsettling energy can make the days surrounding the eclipse can be more emotional and sensitive, eat light and keep things simple.

With the eclipse energy active for a month make sure to see the gifts it is bringing you, those with who have important placements close to 25º Gemini or 25º Sagittarius as well as those running Mercury and Jupiter Dashas will feel the eclipse the most.

Punarvasu offers refuge in times of transformation and plants seeds of regeneration, it gives us the tools we need to correct any errors, adding more juice into our actions with the encouragement to try again.

As January progresses, the house of Sagittarius will mellow, with only Jupiter and Ketu remaining. 2020 is going to be a great year with the first four months being the toughest, so keep up and stay focused!

The Mantra and Meditation for 2020 is Aad Such Jugaad Such Hai Bhai Such Nanak Hosee Bhai Such (see instructions below)

Its a great time to book a reading and see what is happening for you in 2020

Sagittarius New Moon Solar Eclipse -Pointing The Way Forward Vedic Astrology

Photo Nasa

Photo Nasa

The New Moon solar eclipse occurs on the galactic plane at 9°58 of Sagittarius, pulling the arrow back and releasing the tension of 2019 with the final eclipse of the decade, as the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun showering us in celestial energy setting in motion rapid changes making room for something much better in 2020.

Eclipses happen a few times a year, but this one is a very unusual one involving six planets Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu, Sun and Moon, it  marks the end of a cycle that began last summer on July 2nd and is one of the greatest eclipses we have experienced in decades.

The axis between Rahu in Arda and four planets in Mula nakshatras lay the map of deep transformation where we are in a state of completion and resurrection. Mula is among the most intense and profound of lunar houses ruled by Nitrri, a contractive goddess representing dissolution and hidden information. Ardra’s ruler is the Rudra the fierce incarnation of Lord Shiva gives a probing aspect on a hunt for a solution and the beat of our heart.

We are in a time for constructive thought and solutions: with Jupiter in strong in dignity and conjunct Saturn both planets adding a stabilising effect to the eclipse bringing structure and wisdom to the forefront reducing our confusion. Mercury the planet of the intellect joined Ketu the planet of one-pointed focus, both under Mula’s influence plays out in very constructive ways; activating our wise and discerning desire to separate that which is real from the unreal, seeking the stark truth of a situation, unearthing hidden information and tearing it out by the root cause. Giving us the clearing we need to receive what is coming to us in 2020.

For those with significant planetary placements at or near 10°of Sagittarius, Ascendant, Moon or Sun as well as those who are Mars or Venus dominant people may feel that during the period surrounding the eclipse you may feel irritated, thinking and communication is quite challenged now. Slow down any impulsiveness, use the wisdom of your heart and don’t react.

Eclipses are inwardly transformative periods and ideal for intensified spiritual practices, worship and charitable giving, practical endeavours are inauspicious so don’t start anything new the 3 days on either side of the eclipse avoid for new beginnings of major worldly importance during this time.

In the Yogic and Vedic Sciences, eclipses are days that stir strange and unsettled energies. It is advised to avoid light of the eclipse, even when we can not see it from our location. On the day of the eclipse eat light, take the time for mediation, use mantra, try to be quieter and go within.

As we embrace our excitement for the start of 2020 may we can bask in our potentials and the limitless possibilities before us. Expansive messages are coming through from the higher realms it’s time to raise our gaze,  feeling renewed faith in ourselves, our relationships, and trajectories.

May we join together in love, commitment, and joy—releasing the past as we leap into a more inspired, honest, and compassionate future.

I send you lots of love and luck with the eclipse cycle

November New Moon Time To Unite , Vedic Astrology

Screen+Shot+2018-04-24+at+8.11.35+PM.png

The mystical poetry of love and devotion as seen from the Moon as it merges with the Sun at 10°of Scorpio in the lunar house of Anuradha nakshatra.

Scorpio moons tend to activate the restlessness of our subconscious mind illuminating it’s holds and all of its underpinnings. Anuradha is the lifeline to our heart in these murky waters giving us a remedy to find our way to the surface opening to deeper connection where all of us shows up.

Anuradha nakshatra is very connected to the heart, filled with Bhakti and devotion creating a space within us to make peace with our shadows, opening our capacity to create changes that are filled with a renewed love and affection and in doing so we blossom into intimacy—both with ourselves and each other.

By contemplating one of the key symbols of Anuradha, the lotus flower we understand the journey of our mind and emotional body, the Moon, where it must to travel to give us the experience our depth to bringing us to directly the heart of it, through our and tribulations where we refine our devotion and commitment.

The muddy waters are in fact a spiritual well, a place visit to process our own unique struggle to find our rooting, in complete darkness with very little external sustenance using  our commitment and endurance finding our strength to surface to give our blossom as a gift to the world in stillness, communing with all creation.

The first step toward mastery of our inner stillness is the practice of devotion to one pointedness, Ekagrata. An awareness that is focused, that puts the full force of the mind perception dissolving the barrier between the observer and the object, this is the essence of Anuradha. The commitment to give of yourself, to yourself and merge with your Cosmic Beloved (whatever you choose to call GOD).

It’s a good time over the next 28 days to connect with old friends and new groups to unite and to just show up, even if you resist or feel fed up show up and connect and you will be rewarded. This is a very heart healing and heart opening Moon cycle, how to share your gifts and uplift through your challenges and through resistance. Be open and pay attention to the details, follow you inspirations and look for the omens.

The collective consciousness on the planet continues to change at an accelerate pace we all have the capacity to make the necessary changes in our individual lives. The increased pressure is creating a powerful turning point in our perception and consciousness where we are rebirthing ourselves into a greater self mastery, reaching for emotional maturity and our innate wisdom.

As we prepare for what’s to come in 2020 its time to build our futures with greater maturation and awareness. We started the off the month under some significant challenges and this New Moon cycle is a period where we have full access to our sense of self and a deep strength infused with life’s rich tapestry, may we take root in the  glory of who we are and expand to the stars and beyond finding our destiny that truly fulfils us.

I wish you love and luck in the New Moon cycle

Jupiter Transit into Sagittarius

North east.jpg

Moving at more than twice his normal speed Jupiter moves quickly through his home of Sagittarius the first few months of his transit, heading quickly towards Capricorn entering on March 24th, where he begins to slow down his pace to retrograde motion May 15th slowly making his way back home to Sagittarius on June 30th finally turning direct on September 13th where he will remain until November of 2020.

At the very start of this transit complex transit, Jupiter encounters two of the most challenging planets upon his arrival home giving quite some significance to this celestial movement and then in December he will be tangled the year end major solar eclipse.

Until the third week of January Sagittarius and Gemini become strongly activated by both the expansive influence of Jupiter and the actualising influence of Saturn. For several months Saturn and Ketu have been shaking the sign of Sagittarius where we may have experienced being plunged into challenges and perhaps even chaos. Jupiter has been somewhat blocked in Scorpio and now faces obstacles in Sagittarius, it is not until after January when we can better connect with and experience his positive energy and uplift once he moves past Ketu and when Saturn moves out of Sagittarius into his own sign of Capricorn in January.

Jupiter’s initial transit into Sagittarius will be restoring stability, truth and growth to an environment that has been subject to a dismantling over the last several months. With Jupiter’s speed of motion it may give a sense of urgency or insecurity, this is especially tricky during the Mercury retrograde. Make sure to take time to deliberate and carefully analyse before making Jupiter-and Mercury related decisions such as financial management, business expansion and education.

Saturn is our roots and Jupiter is our fruit, we need both to manifest. Jupiter aspires to reach heaven and Saturn establishes the firm foundations and with Ketu interconnected with them clearing the field for the many blessings to com in 2020.

I send you love and luck with Jupiter’s transit

Calling in the Light of Individuality Diwali New Moon

Screen Shot 2019-10-26 at 16.40.48.png

The Moon joins the Sun in an intimate embrace in the sign of Libra in the lunar house of Swati nakshatra, where only a few hours earlier Venus left the Sun to join Jupiter, Mercury In Scorpio forming a union of benefic planets called a Saraswati yoga, bringing infinite blessings to our Diwali new Moon, filling it with shakti and power to go deeper to find our footing.

In the western hemisphere as the days get shorter and the darkness of night is lengthens heralds a time where we can experience confusion, fear and overall malaise. A time of year when the Sun sits in his sign of debilitation the house of Libra delivering with its lesson in the practice self care, boundaries and borders.

The Sun is our strength and vitality and Libra is a sign of compromise the summing up where our resources and strength may have become diminished, where we may have over extended and spent too much time going outside of ourselves creating an imbalance in replenishing our resources.

Swati nakshatra informs the Moon with a lesson of individuality, selfish need to be ourselves a need to define what is our baseline, where we stand, even if we feel uneasy trying to find the stillness, we must find our individuality to stand on our own even in the forces of change and challenge, growing from our own roots.

The cycle of the new Moon reminds and encourages us to ignite our own inner light and life force every single day. As the light returns to us through our devotional practice and with pranayam and exercises/ movement (yoga), the force of life floods light though our entire being, where we become ignited and radiant with dynamic strength, the magnetic force of our being to co create with the Universe calling in what we desire through through our light and using it to guide our own individual way.

As we are in the season of Vata (Wind) energy due to seasonal change and the New Moon’s Nakshatra it leads to a tendency of drying out and spacing out. Contributing even further we are spending more time indoors which leads to increased time spent on our computers which is Vata activating and with the heat turned on it creates and fosters imbalances.

To support our vitality and functionality nature comes to the rescue and provides us with foods that counter and help balance these energies.  Eat and drink warming, grounding sweet and moistening foods. Eat good oils and use body oils almond, sesame in combination with etheric oils, such are pure sandalwood,  frankincense which are great healers and protectors. Chywanaprash and amala are good to consume now.

Diwali is the victory of light over darkness, which is something to rejoice and have faith in. Actively creating positive internal changes is the best way to begin growing and spreading it externally. On this Diwali New Moon feel blessed and set intentions for increased health, wealth and happiness in your life and the lives of those you love. Cleaning your house and organizing replacing broken items and replacing them with new are good practices. Create your home space as if your were inviting God to live with you everyday.

We are only a few days from Jupiter saying goodbye to Scorpio and just over two months left in this decade don’t wait for change stand in your light and use the energy to make meaningful changes.

The Mantra for the Month is Ang Sung Wahe Guru

This mantra expresses a universal truth. Repeating it creates a thought, which gradually guides the psyche to adjust itself. It reconnects every fragmented projection of the psyche, each separated part of the body, and synchronises the finite sense of self to the Infinite Oneness. This act of rejoining the separated parts is the quintessential act of healing. Under attack, under war, under the pressures of fear, this mantra keeps us together, conscious, and ready to act. It brings the inner peacefulness that comes only from the touch and scope of spirit.

Try it for 40 days 3-11 minutes a day and see what happens!

Yogi Bhajan said ‘’if you have put God outside of you, there’s nothing in you, and that’s why you’re suffering.”  “You need a reality that Ang Sang Wahe Guru, with every limb, with thirty trillion cells of you which change themselves every seventy-two hours, God is in you.”

embrace the creative power of this river goddess until the banks of your lives are overflowing and spilling with joy.
