Goddess Apah
The Full Moon shines in Purva Ashada, in the very heart of the dharma house, as the Sun moves through Ardra. Mercury begins its retrograde, joined by exalted Jupiter and Venus.
There is a deep 6th and 8th house influence on this cycle. Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury are 8th from the Moon, while the Moon is 6th from them.
The Moon receives the pressure of Saturn's 10th aspect and Mars' 8th aspect, creating emotional weight and a heightened sense of responsibility.
Mars can generate impatience and agitation, while Saturn asks for maturity, restraint, and endurance. Together, they create friction, but friction with purpose. Rather than forcing outcomes, we are asked to develop the capacity to carry pressure without losing our center. A refinement in playing a tune.
Faith in our own feelings becomes essential, following our flow. Not every emotion requires immediate action, but every genuine feeling deserves to be acknowledged. This is a period of deep emotional processing, allowing us to separate instinct from reaction and wisdom from fear. At the peak of the dharma house, this Full Moon tests our faith, commitment, and resolve. It is the path where victory comes to those who persevere.
An important blessing exists beneath the surface. Jupiter and the Moon are in Parivartana Yoga, exchanging signs while also forming a highly supportive 6th/8th relationship. Though the sixth and eighth houses create an unfounded fear of challenge and transformation, they are houses of hidden gifts and unexpected gains.
This exchange provides hidden protection and the ability to work through obstacles with intelligence and grace. Difficulties can become catalysts for growth rather than barriers.
Purva Ashada is governed by Apah, the water goddess. Water cleanses, nourishes, purifies, separates, and refines. It can be soft, yet it is powerful enough to wear down stone. Purva Ashada is also said to be the birth star of Goddess Sarasvati, the great awakener to wisdom, and is connected to the flow of inner knowledge.
This nakshatra sifts through illusion, false promises, and emotional distractions, leaving behind only what has lasting value.
With Mercury retrograde, this is not a time to rush toward certainty, but to carefully examine what is true, what is merely noise, and what truly deserves our energy.
This becomes especially important as we consider what we read, what we hear, and what we consume, how we "play" our own instrument. Our minds are more easily influenced during Mercury retrograde, making discernment one of the greatest spiritual practices of this cycle.
Purva Ashada is not the philosophy of "going with the flow." Its waters are active and purposeful. A It bends, adapts, with intelligence and continues moving until it reaches the ocean. This nakshatra teaches that true strength is not rigid determination, but the wisdom to remain in motion without losing direction.
The Sun in Ardra continues the work of releasing old burdens, while the Full Moon asks whether our lives are truly aligned with our deeper purpose. This 6th/8th axis may expose areas where habits, obligations, or relationships no longer support our evolution.
Some may experience unexpected developments in relationships or finances as Venus, Mars, and Saturn influence the Moon. While these shifts can feel unsettling, they are helping to clear away what is no longer sustainable.
Spiritually, this is an excellent period for study, deepening one's practice, and expressing gratitude toward teachers and guides. Gratitude becomes an expansive force, helping us move through uncertainty with greater trust.
with infinite love and affection
