This is a big lesson for most of Saturn retrograde session as it returns over a shadow within the nakshatra, Śatabhiṣak, the Moon sign ruled by Varuna. The lord that encompasses the oceans, and the skies upholding the cosmic law. Both Saturn and Varuna are steely, holding us to a high standard of truth and balance.
Saturn starts its retrograde at 13° of Aquarius, where he will begin to nudge us to refine and define. Awakening our reflection back to priorities and values. Saturn and Lord Varuna through mid-October will teach and test our ability to stay centred while exploring the fullness of our beings. Turning us inward thoughtfully, reflecting on what is important and what really matters. Taking us into the depths to discover our unity in wholeness and healing. Closing the gap in our commitment by embracing and respecting our true nature.
Lord Saturn's task is to awaken us to the reality of the consequences and restrictions placed upon us when we are out of harmony. When we bring ourselves into balance, Saturn in Varuna's abode unravels our secret gifts, where we derive power from what was once hidden from view. It is an excellent time to make a commitment as it carries Saturn's strength and the witnessing of Lord Varuna to see it through.
Those in the dasha of Saturn or in Sade Sati or planets at 13° may feel Saturn's literal "rocking of your boat" of existence coming up from the deep, reminding you that you may be off course.
