Building Strength in Our Stillness Vedic New Moon March

The connection to our mystical and philosophical side is activated by the Pisces new Moon but we are not allowed to reside in the dreamland for long, we become awakened with reality of who we are and with what is not real or true, to face what we avoid and what is painful for us to look at.

The task of setting our inspirations straight is given with the strike of the Nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada whose goal is to remove what it is unanchored nonsense and our inclinations to avoid what is uncomfortable, soberly awakening us to who we are right now and where our actions and thought patterns are leading us.

The full gaze the Moon will receive from Mars and Rahu can intensify our feelings during this period, giving rise to old issues to be dealt with that can no longer be swept under the carpet. Any inclination we have for escapism is squashed in this new moon cycle, we are being asked to work to build strength in our stillness and with rigorous honesty.

Jupiter the ruler of Pisces is the energetic depositor of the 4 planets currently in Pisces  affecting the new moon phase due to Jupiter retrograde and weakened position in the last degrees of Libra where it unable to give its full power resulting in a time that is difficult to manifest or achieve tangible results.

During this cycle look squarely at your shadows, take control of your thoughts and your self programming and create better path-ways. Invest in yourself and your spirit. Fight for your destiny everyday by building grit and stamina, it is in this discipline you will achieve what your heart soul desires.

Mudra: Interlace your fingers and cross the thumbs. Bend the elbows and bring the hands up and in until they meet at the level of the heart center with the palms facing the body. The mudra is held against the body.

Eyes: Closed focused at the thrid eye

Breath and Mantra: Inhale deeply and hold the breath in for 45-60 seconds. Meditate at the third eye point and silently chant 'Har' (Har sounds like Hud)

To finish: Inhale and exhale rapidly (2 seconds inhale, 2 seconds exhale) six times and then relax.

Depending on your breath capacity, this exercise takes 3-5 minutes. As you are developing your ability to hold the breath in for the required time, you may find that you need to take recovery breaths before your next inhalation and hold.

May the long time sunshine upon you all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on, Sat Nam

When Yogi Bhajan taught this meditation, he gave the class one rapid recovery inhale-exhale before the fourth breath and two rapid recovery inhale-exhales before the fifth breath. Gradually train yourself to hold the breath in for the required time for five consecutive breaths, but, if you need to re-oxygenate yourself between breaths, you may do so.

Becoming Tender Warriors Vedic Astrology March

painting by Jan Davidsz de Heem 1660

painting by Jan Davidsz de Heem 1660

The field of action in March will be in the house of Pisces with  so much planetary energy directed it's way there is no way it's effects will go unnoticed this month, we will all get our share of it.

In March we have two full Moons, two planets retrograding, a new Moon, Mars moving in with Saturn for an extended stay.  Exalted Venus and a debilitated Mercury.

The Cosmic Gallery is open and lets begin with the first masterpiece - The Soma of the First full Moon.

On March 1 or 2nd (depending on where you live) our first Full Moon takes place in house of Leo. The Moon is filled with the light of the Sun and she feels at home in the house of the of the King, where she awakens our passions with and emerging force like a spring, where we want to indulge in ourselves and in our perspectives rather than share our wealth.  Fiery emotions can fill us under her influence as our intentions become focused on individuality and our free will.

Self care and tending to our needs is important, be sure not to steal others happiness as a result, real kings and and queens share their wealth and share their light with others.

Venus & Mercury

The day after the full Moon, Venus and Mercury move into Pisces where Venus takes her exalted position and Mercury becomes debilitated and weak. Venus in Pisces opens our receptiveness to love and our desires,  but our intellect (Mercury) becomes clouded with feelings and a dreamy devotion that is not anchored in reality. This combination makes for a good time for healing emotional wounds not necessarily a time to commit to new ventures as our intellect is impaired, wait a bit later in the month, when it is retrograde. Yes, I said retrograde more info on that below.

Venus and Mercury together is a hallmark time for writing and reflection, Venus will leave Pisces on the 25th of March so do take some time and write your story and then read it at the second Full Moon to see if it is real and true.

Mars

On March 8th Mars enters Sagittarius where it will remain until early May this placement can bring frustration with authority figures where both sides we are pushing forcing principles and ideas on to the other. Mars joining Saturn makes for a potentially troublesome time where we can become combative about our philosophical proclivities and our beliefs systems. The full gaze of Mars will square all the planets in Pisces as will Rahu so it becomes a touchy area and with Mercury in its weakened state really, really do take care of what you say. Better to be a strategic champion not a reactive crusader.

The force and power that Mars brings together with Saturn in Sagittarius makes is a fertile time to put our teachings and our dharma into practice. Keeping the focus in your lane and what you are doing and rather than destroy relations in order to make progress.

Jupiter Retrograde

On March 9th Jupiter will begin its retrograde motion for a period of 4 months creating an environment of reflection of our principles and beliefs.  This retrograde motion on a personal level can  make us face potentially painful truths of  how our frustrated hopes and dreams may be influencing our partners and key relationships, revealing where we need to own the status quo of our lives and not project the results on our closest relations. Again focusing on our lane is important lesson here.

New Moon

On March 17th the New Moon joins Mercury and Venus already in Pisces, highlighting our mystical and philosophical work we put forth in the world, are we tuning in or are we tuning out? The strike of the Nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada awakens us to a glimpse of who we are at this moment setting our inspiration straight with a jolt. The full gaze of Mars and Rahu intensifies the New Moon as the dreaminess of Pisces and it's inclination for escapism becomes challenged.  Things from the past, old feelings arise and the truth of what we are denying to be seen and examined.

Retrograde Mercury

On March 22nd Mercury will go retrograde and will not go direct until April 15th. While Venus is with Mercury take advantage of this as it is a very creative time. In Vedic Astrology when a debilitated planet goes retrograde the negative effects are reduced, so it not to be feared in its retrograde time in this house.

Full Moon

The second Full Moon of the month on the 30th will push us to be more precise and focused, we are attempting to get control.  It will be opposite the Sun in Pisces, and her agenda is to anchor and harmonise the energy Pisces where our mind and hearts were thrown into the deep end of the pool where we could have felt confused and overwhelmed.

Summary

As the winter is melting away our spirits and hearts are awakened and being given a amazing reality check. We are more inspired and feeling our hearts desire harmonising our lessons of learning  The first full moon commences the celebration of Holi  a springtime festival of colour  and connectivity unifying love and life force.

Pisces is the field of activation this month so if you have planets  in your natal chart its becomes even  more important area for you to pay attention.

We are beginning a cycle of retrograde planets starting with Jupiter and Mercury this month. We can find ourselves less confident in our intellect and our communications, making it a good time to say less instead use the creative and reflective energies to examine the stories of our lives our patterns, beliefs and  relations. It is a good month to write your story  and reflect on it to see if it is really true.

There is allot to take in and process this month that leads us to our greater potential with each step we are becoming the tender warriors of of our lives, eliminating the illusion and confusion with care and precision.

26114109_1676113929090915_7228123287969847044_n.jpg

Aquarius is the field action for us all for the next 28 days awakened by the New Moon Solar Eclipse taking place on February 15th.

Saturn is the acting as the governor placing our focus and attention on our greater good, leading us into the realm of ideas and principles worth committing too, evaluating the contribution of these ideas how they serve our higher purpose.

Aquarius it is the active masculine expression of Saturn grounding us in thought and purposeful direction where we will focus on our bigger picture, long-term commitments and the effort required to create the life we want. Saturn is the root of the trees that bear the sweetest fruit.

Joining this symphony of planets is the influence of Mars, and Jupiter, who all cast their gaze on the eclipse.  Their influence is felt in our actions and with our courage, revealing a deep committed nature aimed at the Aquarian concepts of universal duty, connection, and service.

The Nakshatra married to this Moon is Dhanishta symbolized by Shiva’s Drum of Creation - it is the heartbeat of life with it’s universal rhythm that plays through us and all around our existence. It is a Dhanishta is star of value and meaning, not the superficial or the mundane it s that which goes beyond our individual desire.

Align and surrender to a greater divine pulse, the very beat of your heart that calls you from within. Commit to what you love and dance with this drumbeat of time -there isn’t a  moment to waste.

On a cautionary note Mercury and Venus are also getting eclipsed impacting our communication habits and how we share in our partnership and with others, it punctuates a cycle of increased volatility in love, partnership, and finances.

Meditation for the Month- Beaming and Creating the Future

To Begin Sit  comfortable in a cross-legged position with a straight spine bring your hands together in front of your heart and repeat 3 times Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo before beginning the exercise.

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose. Stretch the spine up and become very still.

Eye Focus: Eyes are closed.

Mudra: Relax the hands in Gyan Mudra on the knees.

Part One

Drink the breath in a single, deep, long sip through a rounded mouth. Close the mouth and exhale through the nose, slowly and completely. Continue for 7-15 minutes.

Part Two

Inhale and hold the breath comfortably. As you suspend the breath in, meditate on zero. Think in this way: "All is zero; I am zero; each thought is zero; my pain is zero; that problem is zero; that illness is zero."

Meditate on all negative, emotional, mental and physical conditions and situations. As each thing crosses the mind, bring it to zero—a single point of light; a small, insignificant non-existence.

Exhale and repeat. Breathe in a comfortable rhythm. Continue for 7-11 minutes.

Part Three

Think of the quality or condition you most desire for your complete happiness and growth. Summarize it in a single word like "wealth," "health, "relationship," "guidance," "knowledge," "luck." It has to be one word. Lock on that word and thought. Visualize facets of it. Inhale and suspend the breath as you beam the thought in a continuous stream. Lock onto it. Relax the breath as needed. Continue for 5-15 minutes.

To End: Inhale and move the shoulders, arms and spine. Then stretch the arms up, spread the fingers wide, and breathe deeply a few times.

To End May the long time sunshine upon you all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on, Sat Nam

Embracing All That You Are -Full Moon Eclipse Vedic Forecast

indian-goddess-1762924_1920-768x576.jpg

The Full Moon of January 31st will be eclipsed for over an hour in the highly sensitive sign of Cancer. Throwing us into the heart and mystery of our purpose.

Lunar eclipses signify turning points and shifts in consciousness and are in many ways more significant than solar eclipses, this is because the Moon is our inner reflection, our stored memory, what we have lived and how we experienced it. The coming into understanding of who we are.

Our Moon this month is accompanied by the Nakshatra Ashlesha ruled by the Naga the divine and mystical serpents who dwell deep in the underworld, they are the protectors of vast treasures and gifts, well known for being cunning, jealous, and sometimes poisonous.

The Eclipsed Moon reveals  a turning point, but we are somehow stuck in the doorway unsure how to proceed with one foot in the past and one foot not knowing where to go.

Old feelings, where we either deny their existence or would prefer to forget,  arise for many in the days surrounding the eclipse.  Replaying patterns from past traumas, projecting into our present moment causing interruption to current life, stuck on the replay button of all our stored emotions and thoughts locked in the vault of our unconscious mind.

The key to this Moon is to tune into the full power of our heart not to our emotions, step into the selfless love and devotion, which leads directly to your heart where you have the power of a thousand Suns.

It is in this space of honest reflection where  our sensitivity is magnified, our receptivity enhanced, our intuition becomes fully available to us once we cross this threshold of the Naga who guard the gate of changes and rewards.

Venus is under pressure lasting  until the 10th of February. Keeping agitation fuelled and triggering conflicts not only in our personal relationships, but professional relationships as well.

Do your best to be graceful and honest  speak your truth, which is far easier now with Mercury having moved away from Saturn.

Summary

Eclipses have the power to transform our core beliefs and deepest fears into courage by asking us to tackle the persistent demons of self-doubt. We are in a closing a cycle of karma, finishing one chapter to start a new, and one in which we are willing to work hard for. Mars will be there supporting our efforts until mid March.

Tips for the day of the Eclipse

Yogi Bhajan said that during the time of the eclipse is not when we should allow its light to touch us.  In the Vedic tradition it is also taught to look out go out during an eclipsed Moon it is considered very in auspicious. So if you can avoid then out then.

Climbing Our Mountains New Moon In Capricorn Vedic Astrology

unnamed-6.jpg

Our first New Moon of the year finds itself looking for space in the crowded house of Capricorn who is playing host to three other planets - Sun, Venus and Ketu all who have come together to declare .....What we relate too requires an adjustment.

Over the next 30 days the energy of Capricorn will permeate our lives, where we experience some needed relief from the fiery and provocative influences- to a more focused, meditative and methodical mindset as we take a closer look at the road map of our lives.

Capricorn is the feminine reflective quality of Saturn where we feel it emotionally and experience it psychologically. The greatness that Capricorn gives is the capacity to face what we need too and the endurance to withstand the challenges and fears we must face.

On the 17th when Mars moves into Scorpio for six weeks lending us a tremendous amount of courage and needed energetic charge to face our emotional weaknesses, solidifying the maturation of this Capricorn influence, leading us closer into the physical reality of our goals one step at a time.

Until the 28th Saturn and Mercury  remain conjunct keeping us serious and straight to get our facts straight and clear and putting our attention on the goal.

Venus the ruler of love and abundance has been travelling with the Sun through it’s fire and intense heat since last month putting a tense spotlight on our relationships, friendships and alliances that will reach a turning point by the end of the month. Venus is in a stage of transformation from our morning star into our evening star  not able to give us much energy,  by next month she will be back inspiring us from the brightness of the heavens.

This New Moon cycle is all about growing up and creating stable inner structure so that we may receive. Bringing our awareness to find the source of our fear that holds us back to connect with it our heart and then release so that we may connect with what is eternal and true

What Do We Believe In? Gemini January 1st Full Moon Vedic Forecast

c856e775e48673d4be0e1cbcd0e2e817--vintage-twins-identical-twins.jpg

Our first Full Moon of the year finds the King and Queen of the sky the Sun and Moon in direct communication with one another with Venus, Sun, Saturn and Jupiter all giving the Moon their counsel. In contrast to the New Moon we had in December this Full moon is asking what do we really believe?

The Moon is reaching her peak of fullness in sign of Gemini in the grip of the fiery red Nakshatra of Ardra, the territory of Shiva.

Directly opposite to the Moon is the Sun, Venus and Saturn all in Sagittarius. Jupiter joins in the conversation with its 10th aspect from the sign Libra .

The Moon representing our emotions and mind is soaking up the energy of Gemini colouring her with intellect, flexibility and humour as we examine our beliefs, our biases and perceptions.

We are calling from our deep unconscious to heal divisiveness and contention within us making sure we remove the obstacles as we start to shift into higher frequencies that the New Year will bring us.

With the starvation of Venus by the Sun and the influence of Saturn we begin to think critically about our relationships, associations and where we spend our time and resources. Ultimately bringing in new understanding, creating healthy boundaries and creating new pathways in how we more effectively navigate our relations.

Ardra is an intense star that releases a rainstorm held within our hearts and mind that is ultimately renewing and refreshing  us like a storm.  It gives us the skill to hunt and seek what calls us and touches at the core of our being and find that which provides us true nourishment.

Ardra is a fearless and courageous star facilitating  an opening to an emotional clearing in order to see more clearly and challenge old thought, old patterns and  the dogma that was raised from the December New Moon.

The power of effort is great intesefied with these planetary influences when harness it to open our awareness to a greater understanding of who we are and where we are meant to be. Yet controlling our anger and frustration and finding the appropriate release is one of the keys of its lessons.

Summary

The Universe is ready to make our highest visions come true as long as we clear the way and make room for them.

May we touch earth and the stars to discover our stillness and truth. Releasing unnecessary chatter, so that we may we drop into our hearts and our higher minds and find the magical place where heaven and earth collide.

If you are lucky and have a clear sky look up on the evening of the Full Moon next to her is the bright red star Ardra Shiva’s abode known to astronomers as Betelgeuse.

This is our first of two Full Moons in the month of January. It is a busy, busy month. Take good care and I send you a lot of luck and love

Ketu in Sravana Nakshatra Listening

1e19f31aa947fcd96886e8e0b1b59bcf.jpg

Ketu has moved into the Nakshatra of Sravana where it will remain until August 29th 2018

The North and South Node are critical keys in understanding our deepest nature and the karmic path laid out before us in our birth chart. Their placement creates an axis point that divides our chart into two halves revealing the karmic knots we must untie.

Ketu the South Node shows us what in our life we are overly attached too and what we rely on far too often. It’s the placement in our chart shows accumulated knowledge, experience, our gifts as well as the tendencies we came in with.

Ketu's placement in our chart is where we retreat when things get too hard and we are seeking safety and familiar comfort. Ketu tricks us in thinking if we remain there or behave certain way we will be ok. However Ketu is an unconditional planet and wants absolute security, absolute certainty it is the castle where within its walls we are never satisfied and what we are really looking for can never be truly found in the house where it resides.

Ketu is a necessary companion on our journey and there is much to be thankful to Ketu it has served us in many, many ways. It provides us endurance through tough times, it removes what does no longer serves us even when we are ready to let go.

The ultimate goal is to merge the two nodes Rahu and Ketu together and not rely on one or the other too much. Utilising them consciously so that we can better navigate our karmic debts and pursue our individual path of dharma. The poison points get created in our charts when we use one of them excessively and of the two Ketu is often over due to its familiarity.

Sravana the Nakshatra Ketu resides in until end of August is filled with the deepest of lessons and perfect to take us through nearly 9 months of the year ahead.

The teaching of this Nakshatra is Naad the great sound and vibration in everything that sound the ‘KUND’ that created everything.  Teaching us to listen with all of our senses to see the interconnectedness and the cultivation of our higher sensory awareness including the sensing of oneself.

This is also the message 2018 is bringing to our door the Master cycle of 11. A cycle of the sound current, the power of the word, the power of prayer, the resonance and permeation in everything.

Ketu with it’s illusory smoke will try to trick and block us with a feeling and sense of lack, that what we are is not enough what we need is outside of us.

Sravana is showing us the way to the true root of all things, ruled by the Moon it reveals how the light of the world reflects in our mind. The quality of the reception will depend on how clear your mirror is.

I send you a lot of luck and love

The Root Of Happiness New Moon Vedic Forecast

10f9a2d730d4e66de72b0ee37b58a8cc.jpg

The last New Moon of the year finds itself in the Nakshatra Mula, conjunct with the Sun and Saturn who are also under Mula’s influence

Sun Saturn Conjunction until January 13th

Highlighted during this New Moon cycle is the polarity surrounding the individual self caused by the interaction of Sun and Saturn.

Saturn’s agenda is opposite to the Sun’s agenda in regards to our ego. The Sun champions individuality and the ego, while Saturn’s role is to downplay our ego’s importance.

In this conjunction Saturn can impose limited thinking and attitudes causing us to see half-empty glasses type scenarios.  While seemingly increasing our pressures and responsibilities of life that weigh heavily upon us. It can trigger negative feelings in our relationships both professional and personal where we feel we are carrying the load of responsibility and where we feel  we are not being recognised for our efforts and or our contributions.

It's an important time to pay attention to Saturn placement in your chart and clean those areas up as much as possible in regards to your thoughts and actions.

Moon in Mula Nakshatra

This is the darkest new moon of the year as it is placed very close to the galactic center of our galaxy in Sagittarius.

The Moon is the ruler of the mind, which includes our emotional responses and our thoughts that drift and stir. What we think and feel shapes and defines the world that we perceive.

It’s companions Saturn and Sun deepen and ground our energy yet  still make it vulnerable with the Moon at it lowest point reflecting the very little light of the Sun who is afflicted by the influence of Saturn.

Where we have grace is with the Mula Nakshatra which holds great spiritual power as it uproots and weeds out what is not necessary leaving a rich ground of possibility to plant our ideas and goals.

Mula's agenda is dissolution of difficulty and restrictions by removing of our false concepts our deepest fears, which are tamasic in nature. All the things that weigh us down and limit us. Pushing us forward to make deep, authentic and lasting commitments. Mula gets to the root of the issue and gives us  penetrating insight and clarity into problems that may have seemed unsolvable before.

The Moon in Mula upholds a great truth: that the nature of this world is impermanent and we are meant to find our power by sharing our light and flowing with it.

The Moon message  this cycle is to look beyond the material realm (transitory) and that what frustrates us (ego) to find what brings us real and lasting happiness

The influence of the of the Mercury retrograde supports the theme of the New Moon making it a powerful time to revise, reassess, and do a careful inventory of the past year.

Summary

The mind makes a powerful servant, but it makes a incompetent master. The blend of energies in the sky is sombre, practical and sobering. Saturn is inhibiting the ambitious and expressive light of the Sun and creating a realistic, yet doubtful, mood. The Moon in Mula pushes us to examine and find what really makes us happy. It creates a space and energy where we can let go of the dysfunctions and refuse to allow anything new that will weigh us down.

Saturn is our manifesting planet utilise its influence, the energy Saturn can either crush us or transform us. Both options take the same amount of effort it’s all about how we choose to direct our mind.

My teacher Yogi Bhajan was a Saturn teacher, He used to say the difference between you and me is I embrace my faults and accept who I am. We are all perfectly imperfect.

The key is find your truth, your mantra, your path that will carry you until your last breath, we all have to make our own connection real and not spiritual snacking. We are meant to live joyfully and fully.

I send you lots of Love and Luck

When Yogi Bhajan taught this meditation, he gave the class one rapid recovery inhale-exhale before the fourth breath and two rapid recovery inhale-exhales before the fifth breath. Gradually train yourself to hold the breath in for the required time for five consecutive breaths, but, if you need to re-oxygenate yourself between breaths, you may do so.

"Hold the precious breath of life. God shall be with you right away. This is a very powerful method of prayer.'' YB

A Winter Solstice Window Full Moon In Taurus - Vedic Astrology

17e010e4ada18dde97d2a09e6242137c.jpg

The Full Moon before the Winter Solstice provides us with a window of opportunity to access and ride the energetic changes that occur with the earth’s magnetic field leading up to the solstice. These energies are transformative and healing according to the ancient yogic sciences.

This Moon is the harmonizing point of last months New Moon, its grounded and agile enabling us to move through the polarity of time and space with persistence, consistence and grace.

It is exalted in the home of Taurus  that will energize us with the assistance of its escort the Nakshatra Rohini combined it helps us to enter the present moment with peace.

We are continuing to break out of old, limiting patterns—observing where childhood wounds rear their heads in our actions, non-actions and in our relationships. Ultimately, we are healing ourselves so we can be more available for love, success with ease and with open hearts.

Our primary job through the end of the year is to find our center. In this, we can stabilize our minds in the midst of great transition and purging we have been going through since the summer and intergrade the lessons learned.

What ever your working on the time is now, we handle what comes to us far better when we work for it rather than when it is thrusted upon us. We are not taught to contain energy in modern times this we need to cultivate and when you do you be come a light house.

It is very brave to live your life tenderly, and with openness and to be a sensory human. This takes a lot of strength and courage.

We about to enter the cycle of 11 in 2018 a cycle of the sound current, the power of the word, the power of prayer, the resonance of the word. Use the light of the Moon to purify and illuminate what has not been clear. Clear out and make space for the new to come in. Make it a love story with yourself and the cosmos; remember God wants to love someone too.

There are many forces on the planet that are very interested in your preferring your emotions and own fears rather than the simple truth of the greatest power of you and your mind. “If you can’t learn, you can’t love.” – Yogi Bhajan

Harmonic Tensions Vedic Astrology for December 2017

spkmoon 2.jpg

Happy December! Things have been undeniably challenging as reflected in the stars over the course of this last year and as  always December it is a month where time seems to escape us and tensions run higher. As the year begins to draw to a close we start assessing where we are, where we desire to be and what we need to get there.

FULL MOON

As we enter the month of December we are gifted a beautiful full Moon on the 3rd of December  in the earthy practical sign of Taurus, a place where the Moon has a great deal of comfort and strength. It’s placement becomes the harmonizing point from last month’s new Moon in Scorpio where our hearts were restless.

The full Moon falls under the Nakshatra Rohini which carries the promise of abundance and energizing our potential.  While the effects of this lunation are grand and transformative, the grounded side of this Moon reminds us to be simple and touch earth, relate with our senses and deal with the practical side of life. The axis of Taurus and Scorpio shows us how we can become sovereign yet connected to all beings. Our primary job now is to find our center. In this, we can stabilize our minds in the midst of great transition and purging we have been going through since the summer.

RETROGRADE MERCURY

On the same day as the full Moon Mercury start its retrograde motion and will remain retrograde until the 22nd of December. The significance of this retrograde is where it is occurring, between the signs Scorpio and Sagittarius crossing over the challenging Gandanta point putting our beliefs and what inspires us under a methodical scrutiny by going back to make an internal inventory of our actions versus our beliefs. Are we paying attention are we applying ourselves or are we just inspired with our spiritual tourism?  Before it turns direct it will make sure we are clear what inspires us and the actions we need to take.

MARS JUPITER CONJUNCTION & VENUS MARS EXCHANGE

Late last month on the 30th Mars moved in with Jupiter in Libra and when these two forces come together in Libra social justice and justice take center stage. Mars and Jupiter can bring up a fanatical and obsessive need to win fueled by the philosophy and need to be right. With Venus is in  Scorpio it puts Venus and Mars will be in an exchange. In this cosmic conversation Venus will have the upper hand and bringing calmness and practicality to the Jupiter Mars tension.

Venus is an important planet of our path, it not often referred to but it is so. It is a morning star and an evening star it represents the goal ‘chit samadhi kritae’ a another name for Venus ultimately leading us to moksha.

SUN ENTER SAGITTARIUS

The Sun on the 16th moves into optimistic Sagittarius, spirituality and expansion are pronounced and we have a fresh start in gaining momentum for the New Year. Sun in Sagittarius wants freedom to manifest his highest ideals, it craves new relationships with friends and partners who can open our hearts, allowing us to expand our love to include more people lives.

NEW MOON

The new Moon on the 17th (UTC) in Mula Nakshatra  More on this in the New moon forecast later this month.

WINTER SOLSTICE

In the yogic tradition the Winter Solstice on the 21st has an opening for a period of 10 days where our body’s fluids change as a result of the adjustment of the earth’s magnetic field and the flares from the sun which delivers us an increase in our pranic value.  These 10 days are used traditionally for more intensive inner work, engaging in a deep spiritual practice aligning ourselves with the divine so that we can make the most of this change. Make the best as you can during your holiday’s and take a break form the programming of consumerism.

On the same day as winter solstice Venus moves in with Saturn and the Sun in Sagittarius and all three are tightly conjunct. What do your get when you have Hot, Cold , and Passion in a tight room?....... Interruption. The conversation these planets will be a conservative one and we may be challenged by authority figures in our lives through the first week of January. Try not to get to arguments with them. The good news is Mercury will start its direct motion on the 22nd.

SUMMARY
The key this month is to find common ground—to discover that beneath opposing belief systems is a shared commitment to basic goodness.

We are luminous beings and we being taught to live and be present in our command center and not settle for cheaper versions of ourselves. We are becoming clearer about what we believe in and where we're heading, Mars lends us courage to face the world's chaos and uncertainty. We can help each other by finding the balance between anger and compassion and our intelligence  the heart.

We about to enter the cycle of 11 in 2018 a cycle of sound current, the power of the word, the power of prayer, the resonance of the word.  The power of the frequency of the sound current vs nureon frequency is vast, so make agreements within yourself and believe you are great and worthy.

LUNATIONS TO WATCH

The week of December 13th until the 21 the moon will be crossing all of the planets raising tensions and we feel its disruption. Libra is all about making peace and this is definitely not on Mars agenda. It is about confrontation and we feel vindicated in doing so..... best not to react it not worth it under these circumstances.

The 15th and the 17th the Moon joins Venus and retrograde Mercury making this another trigger point to lash out, and high chance to miss speak.  Try not to make it about winning.

I send you lots of love and luck

MEDITATION FOR THE MONTH

To Falling in Love With Yourself

To Begin Sit in an Easy Pose Sit with a straight spine and  repeat 3 times Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo before beginning the exercise.

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine. Interlock all of your fingers except your Sun (ring) fingers, which are pressed together pointing upward. The right thumb locks down the left thumb. Place the mudra at diaphragm level, several inches out from the body, with the Sun fingers pointing out at a sixty-degree angle. Close your eyes.

Breath/Mantra: Inhale deeply and chant Ong in long form, one recitation of Ong per exhalation (approximately 15 seconds. The sound is created through the nose; the mouth is held slightly open, but no air comes out through the mouth. The sound comes from the nose by way of the back of the upper palate. Your upper palate will vibrate. Concentrate to do it correctly.

Time 8 minutes.

Ong is the sound of the Ajna chakra, the sixth center of consciousness. There is, however, the sound of the Infinite which comes through the central nervous system (Shushmana) and touching the central nervous system. It comes from the back of the nose but you have to keep the mouth open. It can go to any pitch.  Therefore it is very important, if you want to be in love with yourself, to practice this sound. That will give you a great essence and joy of life." –Yogi Bhajan

May the long time sunshine upon you all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on , Sat Nam

NEW MOON VISHAKA Vedic Astrology All You Have To Do Is Knock

Photo Hiroshi Sugimoto

An introspective New Moon is leading us by the hand to explore the deep waters that carry the currents of our memories, our hidden self, our power, our electricity.

In the very early degrees of Scorpio, On November the 18th the New Moon will coincide with its weakened low-point of debilitation making it very internalised and contemplative.

What comes up when we contemplate the innermost part of ourselves? What do we discover within us that is indestructible and persevering? Over the next few weeks we find ourselves assessing our capacity to face our fears, deal with our insecurities and check in with our hearts in order to recalibrate our path and cultivate inner security.

This is is a time filled potential, magic and healing as Scorpio takes the driver’s seat under the protective navigating star Vishaka.

The Nakshatra Vishaka is a star born of fire, determination and devotion. It makes us a one pointed, a skilled warrior in facing our darkest  parts by bringing together our our divide  through re discovering where we come from and assisting us to refine the strategy of our journey.

Scorpio is a deeply spiritual sign of transformation connected with the underworld, the invisible layers and darkest corners of ourself. As we enter Scorpio’s door we are exposed and vulnerable just like the trees who have lost their leaves- we are bare assessing our capacity to handle our fears, our jealousies and our grief.  Our hidden pain, fears and shame that we have been holding onto will come to the surface for honest examination with complete honesty and converted into strength.

Spiritual fire always consumes illusion Vishaka is a great star to make lasting changes and as we take the leap and fly into the unknown we will see we already were we already there.

Jupiter and Saturn Double Transit by Sign -We Need Both to Manifest.

IMG_0573.jpg

We need both to manifest.

Jupiter and Saturn in transit play a pivotal role in shaping the influences and events in our lives. Jupiter and Saturn are the slowest moving planets in the sky, making their transits have the most significance for predictive purposes.

Jupiter transits through a sign for approximately one year and  Saturn takes approximately 2 ½ years to complete its transit.

Jupiter’s transits are seen as positive and beneficial, bringing  expansion, growth, new opportunities and the increase of the  significations the house it is occupies  or aspects. The mere thought of Saturn transits bring fears and worries. Saturn’s transits are often described as negative and detrimental, causing limitation, obstacles, challenges and the denial of the indications of any house that it transits or aspects.

These powerful planets are not that black and white with the results they deliver. While it is true  Saturn’s transit can give negative outcomes under certain circumstances, it is not always the case. Jupiter is seen a the magical giver that fixes everything. Jupiter can bring luck, ideas and wisdom it can also bring over optimism that leads us nowhere and expansion in areas we may not wish for expansion.

Jupiter brings inspiration behind an endeavour, while Saturn gives it its structure and form. We need Saturn to reach our goals without Saturn’s influence nothing of lasting value could ever be realised. Jupiter gives us new, expansive ideas but not necessarily the ability to manifest them.

K.N. RAO referred to Saturn as the Roots and Jupiter the fruit, he said Jupiter aspired to reach heaven and Saturn establishes firm foundations and that both were dependant on the other. So simple so beautiful.

From the transit we can see when Jupiter and Saturn both aspect a sign it becomes a significant event. That sign becomes strongly activated by both the expansive influence of Jupiter and the actualizing influence of Saturn. The challenging qualities of Saturn’s transit become more beneficial under Jupiter’s influence. The potentially unrealistic and ungrounded qualities of Jupiter’s transit become more practical, grounded  and focused under Saturn’s influence.

Together they can bring  achievement, breakthroughs, and progress regarding the areas of life that are signified by the house or houses they’re both aspect by transit.

While this sounds simple and promising in Vedic astrology we use much more than transits to predict events and themes. We can look at the overall themes these will bring to give a flavour of the year ahead indicating an area of focus in your life for the next period with this special double transit.

Below is a by sign brief summary of the houses and themes that will come into play.  Check the transit from your Ascendant, Moon and Sun signs.

I send you love and luck during this incredible transit

Quiet the Mind and Listen -Full Moon Vedic Astrology

unnamed-1.jpg

In the early morning on November 4th (or on the 3rd in the US at 10:22 pm PDT) we have a fiery full Moon in Aries where it is opposite the Sun, Jupiter and Venus all conjunct in the sign of Libra.

The contrast occurring in the sky is between the planets placed in Aries (male/fire) and Libra (female /air) where old wounds surface and the sticky/prickly points in our relationships are easily triggered.  Fueling this exchange is Mars. It's dishing out a rather hard and harsh aspect on the Moon making us feel provoked to claim our position and status making us swing hard in the battle to regain our power.

The full Moon's nakshatra is Bharani ruled by Yama and is the nakshatra of consequences. It pushing the Moon’s agenda forward ensuring that the steps we take in these next two weeks will be accounted for.

My best advice for the few days before and after the full Moon is not to dress up your anger and project it onto someone else, if you are angry then be angry and work towards releasing it. Take responsibility for your life and face your real and true reflection.  Now is not the time to sweep anything under the rug whatever remains unhealed goes underground and flourishes and grows in strength. Mars is providing us with enough courage and strength to navigate and overcome these hurdles. Remember Mars is the soldier of the sky who was born of Shiva’s sweat it comes with many blessings when treated with respect.

There is a bright spot to be had with all this tension in the sky. Venus will ignite and inspire our desire to bring more harmony and creativity into our lives and in our relationships, this will help to soften some of the planetary influence.  However by mid  November this cozy feeling will disappear when Venus and Jupiter are in close degrees  making them at odds with each other and looking to fight for dominance. Jupiter the planet of expansion compels us to stand for higher principles, while Venus drives us towards pleasure and desire making us inflexible and dishing out a my way or the highway kind of attitude.

Summary

Our individuality and power are being fully expressed through the Moon. Throughout the next few weeks we want to take care and not take a hardline position, it is a time to establish healthy boundaries, strength and our individuality in a carefully crafted way in order to be effective.

Don’t avoid responsibility by blaming others for your dissatisfaction, look honestly at yourself and with a quiet mind pay attention and observe your thoughts and feelings.  Activate your higher wisdom, embrace it, own it and begin to unravel your karmic knots so you can move forward.

While Saturn in Sagittarius in Mula Nakshatra we are in somewhat of  a crisis of facing the truth - uprooting the structures we stand on to see if they are truly strong enough to carry us. Many things are coming to the surface  throughout the end of the year in our individual lives as well as on the world stage So pay attention and have respect for yourself and others.

We are meant to live and love ourselves wholly, embracing all that we are.  When we do the work honestly and towards collaboration and connection- this full Moon is freeing and evolutionary.

May we all receive of the lesson being delivered and experience the greatest support, love and blessings that lead us to our highest destiny.

I send you lots of love and luck

New Moon The light that Breaks All Darkness

unnamed-1.jpg

Happy Diwali to everyone may your heart, spirit be filled with light and joy to carry you wherever your destiny leads you!

The New Moon cycle of October is a filled with creation, wisdom and light.  Opening fresh landscapes that are reaching out in new directions, bringing with it hope and growth over the next 28 day cycle

This incredibly auspicious New Moon commences the start of Diwali the festival of lights celebrated over the next five days. However the real magic of this New Moon is given by the company it keeps in the sky- Jupiter, Mercury and the Sun. This blend of of friendly planets makes us creative, open and expansive. Over the next 28 days we are working on smoothing out relationships, and working towards finding a common ground in order to build a mutual understanding without losing our sense of self.

We have a greater chance now to reach a creative and diplomatic solutions with others rather than outright aggression as seen played out over the summer. This is largely due to Mercury being the depositor of the most influential planets in the sky right now ushering in intellect and fairness to the forefront in a mutually beneficial way.

The Sun is powerful even when debilitated in Libra, where it struggles to maintain sovereignty during its stay. Mars will be the unlikely support to the Sun . Most of the Suns power in this cycle will be felt with inspiration to regain balance.

While Jupiter takes residency  in the house of Libra for the next year, we will learn and cultivate new ways to balance our growth and efforts. Jupiter's presence will create a positive influence building an intricate relationship pattern that is sustainable.

The Nakshatra Chittra is the wheels of this New Moons known as the dazzling architect it is leading us to a deeper exploration on finding a stable and creative path.

There is still an element of caution so do take care as the difficult times are not quite over and will continue through the end of the year. The last stages of Saturns gandanta making it very volatile , intense and unstable until November 4th.

We are also in a Kala Sarpa Yoga until October 27th. This is where all the planets are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu creating a noteworthy pressure where events played out in the world stage are still challenged highlighting the need to work together towards  a sustainable and lasting solution.

Always remember the human spirit is strong and light always penetrates the darkness

I send you love and luck

Full Moon Vedic Forecast October- How to Make a Diamond

IMG_0192.jpg

The Full Moon of Oct 5th is particularly strong, bright and active as it passes through Pisces and the last Nakshatra Revati.  Its aspected by the Sun and Mercury forming a Budh Aditya yoga in the the sign of Virgo.

This combination lights up our mind, making our thoughts bright, clear and reflective. It activates analytical thinking as we start to digest what has occurred over the last several and very intense months.

The Sun adds so much benefical light to this moon and making it easy to see and understand what is real and true.  We begin to process and organize our personal lives and what we need to do  in order to move forward. The strength of Mercury in Virgo makes up for the heat of the Sun gives in its  combust state when a planet comes with its proximity of the Sun

The Nakshatra of Revati this full moon falls under is a very auspicious star of wealth, protection and recovery. A much needed influence now.

On collective level the world is getting a shake down, quite literally with storms, earthquakes, threat of war, corrupt elections. This trend unfortunately continues through the end of October with Saturn in gandanta position for the rest of the month aspecting Mars who is a very tight and tense conjunction with Venus in Leo in a negative exchange with Ketu in Capricorn.  Resulting in amplified tensions and interactions for everyone across the board.

The lesson we are being taught is how to have and cultivate grit. All the while remaining in the heart where the real and true perception lives.

The outer world often reflects our inner world, anger and frustration arises.  Tend to your own storms and quakes and clear out the old debris. This is a special time to untie old karmic knots that we have created and to release them before Saturn moves on at the end of the month into Sagittarius.

You see Saturn actually makes diamonds, my beloved teacher and master Yogi Bhajan loved people with grit and grace. He was a Saturn teacher

September New Moon Vedic Astrology - Love is Good For Your Health

unnamed-1.jpg

New Moon in Virgo

The New Moon cycle will highlight the performance of service and mundane tasks as well as a desire to heal and uplift our hearts.

The New moon will fall in the Nakshatra ofUttaraphalguni which is all about the details and structure. Its effects are governed by its planetary ruler, the Sun, and by the deity Aryaman

Aryaman is related to contracts with others and partnerships that are beneficial. In the next 30 days people can come into your life that are helpful to you now and can prove to be significant like a teacher or benefactor.

Jupiter’s move earlier this month has brought some relief and softened the atomosphere even in its early stages providing a powerful opportunity to improve our relationships, social skills, and expand our circle of friends.

While we still have Mercury and Venus conjunct Mars a lingering intensity can still be still felt in our communications.  The exchange between Mars and Saturn  does not help the situation.  Partnerships cracks or contractual breakdowns can be brought to the surface now.  Having said that the effects are far less harsh as last month with the Venus and Jupiter on either side helping to calm the waters.

Kala Sarpa Yoga is active until the 29th  which will influence of the new moon.

We can experience a feeling that we have less free will and there is a certain destiny happening in our lives. Its not nessescarily a bad experience. It’s a  good time to  see how our mental perceptions and activities may be keeping us stuck, for good or bad.  This Yoga is happening between Leo and Scorpio (the King and the deep frozen fears)

Observe how your mind moves and returns to habitual patterns, the karmic knots that are keeping you restrained can be revealed with the practice of observational awareness.

Summary

This next 30 day cycle our minds will be directed on the details and cleaning up the accumulated mess from the previous months havoc. It can translate into performing the daily mundane the not so glamourous tasks perhaps at work which can leave us feeling blah.

A simple remedy is to serve those is in need this is a great way to appease this influence.  All that is happening in the world there are plenty who are in need.

Be in service to yourself and commit to what you love .

The Eclipse that we had last new moon will still be active for the next several 5 months so please take care.

The Fall Equinox on the 22nd  commences the beginning of Navaratri a 9 night festival where the worship honouring of the Divine feminine- Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati.

Full Moon Dancing into the Unknown

o.jpg

The full moon this month is the culmination of the last new moon where we had the Solar Eclipse making the influences quite intense, adding to this is Mars conjunct Mercury in Leo. The Nakshatra influencing this moon is Shatabisha.  This star is normally referred to as a healing star, however where where it is sitting is activates very different qualities.

Please take special care the day before the full Moon when the Moon will line up with Mars and stationary Mercury.  Mars having just crossed the eclipse point on the 3rd and 4th makes the days before and few days after very difficult indicating a high likelihood of something being revealed of some significance, an increase in aggression influencing our decisions and actions  in particular the leadership positions in our lives.

Mercury will go direct on the 5th however it will need a few days to settle before we see any improvement. Usually the day it goes direct we have even more challenges.  The dark half of a lunar month of Bhadrapada  is coinciding with the Full Moon in Aquarius so if you can try not to scheduling anything of importance especially Tuesday - Wednesday Thursday.  The energy can be quite chaotic, confusing –people and leaders can be manipulative to cover and push their own agendas.

This also marks the beginning of Pitru-Paksha that lasts from the 5th until the 19th. This is a time when the boundaries between ours and the spirit world is more fluid. Prayers to those who have departed are more readily received. Connecting with those who have helped to shape our destiny can assist is in transforming our stuck behaviour patterns. Make sure you express gratitude and peace to your lineage and guides when asking for help.

Stay calm and connect with the heart and with the breath. Once we become aware of the influence we can control or actions and reactions.

I send you love and Luck

Ignition & Sparks Vedic Forecast September

IMG_9480.jpg

September will continue to bring challenging planetary configurations throughout the month with Mars continuing its fiery path through the sky, and Saturn in its stationary position in Scorpio. The North and South Nodes will be settling in to their new houses and Jupiter changing houses. These are all signals we are about to change perspectives and our focus.

The month begins with a Mercury still retrograde and in close conjunction with Mars crossing over same degree as the solar eclipse. When an angry planet such as Mars crosses over this it stimulates and stirs the negative energy of the eclipse. Mercury (our intellect)  is impaired by fiery Mars and the Sun making our communications cut like a knife. Mercury’s retrograde was affected  by the Solar Eclipse making this retrograde a powerful one.

By the  5th Mercury will finally turn direct but please  wait until after the 8th to make major decisions as Mercury needs a bit of of time to settle and strengthen.

On 6th the Full Moon in Aquarius in the Nakshatra of Shatabisha aspecting Mercury, Mars and Sun in Leo. At the time of the full moon this stars is in its most healing position in the sky. But there is a flip side to this star and the aspects the Moon is giving. Things that are hidden and that which we hide are likely to come out or we are in pursuit of a discovery. It is closely connected to media so things can come out in to the light during this period+/4 days. A good practice for this full moon is humility and service. More on the full Moon in the upcoming Full Moon post

On the 12th Jupiter moves into Libra and for the first 45 days it will be in the Nakshatra of Chittra.  Social justice, humanitarianism and equality are the theme for the first 45 days.  Still we must practice the art of negotiation and not  bypass  difficult discussions. Compromises are key now to our relationships  as well as not projecting onto to others what is really going on inside of us. Jupiter will remain in Libra for the next 13 months, I will post a Jupiter by sign next week.

Venus will join Mercury, Mars and the Sun in Leo on the 15th. Passions and heated discussions continues as Venus is afflicted by Mars and Sun and the next day we have a close conjunction of the Moon and Rahu in watery Cancer.  The 15-17th will increase the intensity of our thoughts and passions with a propensity for fighting, watch your ego, take care not to be too domineering and forceful in your relations between these dates.  These planets are representing our intellect; ego, passion and drive are in traffic jam, and we all can relate to that feeling.

By the time the Sun  Sun moves into Virgo on the 17th a more logical influence starts to take hold and it is no longer about the king (Leo) it is now more focused on the structure and scrutiny of our lives, our immediate surroundings and our leadership.

Continuing the logic and scrutiny theme the New Moon on the 20th (19th for the US) in the Nakshatra Uttarphalguni the star of humanitarianism, business,  organizations as well as contracts with others and setting up mutually beneficial partnerships. Be on the lookout for people who can assist you now, like a significant teacher. This is quite an enduring Nakshatra and  the driver of this next new moon cycle. More details by sign in the upcoming New Moon post.

Summary

The difficulty of summer continues where there is a call for grace and a call to the breath. A  positive attitude and detachment and some common sense are the remedies  for this period (as well as a great exercise and mantra below). The good news is by the month end our logic and analytical faculties are returning we have a push from Mars and Jupiter for change.

For the first  two weeks and a half weeks of the month take care and avoid confrontations as people are easily angered and can act out arrogantly and without active clear thinking.

By the last week of the month we are more directed and driven by logic and investigation.

We have begun  Kala Sarpa Yoga which is pattern in the sky where the nodes Rahu and Ketu hemming the planets.  This will last from September 18 to October 1st followed by two weeks out of this yoga combination.  This in and out pattern lasts five months until mid-January 2018. We last experienced this yoga in the months around the Presidential election last fall. Emotionally and psychologically it can make us feel that we have less free will or we may feel a certain destiny occurring in the world.  It creates pressure like a belt that is too tight  around the waist. Our sensitivity is increased as well  so do practices that calm and relax you and make you laugh most importantly connect with the breath. This really helps .

Be of service rather than in competition with others.

I send you love and luck

Meditation for the Month

Ego Eradicator

Posture Sit in Easy Pose  with a straight spine and raise the arms up to a 60-degree angle.

Curl the fingertips on to the pads of the palms at the base of the fingers. Thumbs are stretched out pointing towards each other above the head.

Eyes:  Closed, focused at the third eye point (between the brows)

Breath *Breath of Fire

*Breath of Fire is rapid, rhythmic, and continuous. It is equal on the inhale and the exhale, with no pause between them (approximately 2-3 cycles per second). Powered from the navel point and solar plexus. The inhale and exhale, the air is expelled powerfully through the nose, by pressing the navel point and solar plexus back toward the spine. This feels automatic if you contract the diaphragm rapidly.

Time  1 - 3 minutes.

End inhale deeply and bring the arms overhead with the thumb tips touching. Exhale and relax the arms down.

"There is a way through every block." YB

For Peace

Mantra -Sat Narayan Wahe Guru Hari Narayan Satnam

Sit in easy pose with your hands in gyan mudra (thumbs and forefingers touching).

Time - 11 minutes.   You can do this while you cook, while you drive, while you walk.

Solar Eclipse August 21, 2017

thank you God.jpg

This solar eclipse will occur in the Nashatra of Maga Nakshatra in the sign of Leo, This is a fiery active star and with is placement and alignment  in the sky its shadow side is activated. As mentioned in the August forecast we can see a rise in racial superiority, arrogance and over identification with materialism and superiority. Making this eclipse more challenging is the fact it is taking place smack in the middle of the Mercury retrograde, the planet of judgment and discernment changed direction. A clear path cannot be perceived when Mercury disappears from view.

The collective temperature is hot and reactive through September. The fiery elements in the sky are making this time volatile and charged mixed with strife and confusion. Conflicts can escalate due to impaired judgement and poor communication. This is not a progressive time, so decisions made urgently and hastily will trend to be flawed. It is best not to make major decisions until after the 5th of September.

Now who will feel this Eclipse? If you have planets that fall in the degree of the eclipse then you, but most of us will not feel its impact on a personal level. What we are being sold is hype.

Now having said that -we will feel it on a collective level since this eclipse falls very close to, the US’s natal Moon at 7° Aquarius and within a degree of Donald Trump’s Mars directly on his ascendant.

This eclipse will impact the US and the President Elect, we the world are affected his choices and reactions impact the world as a leader.

Now back to the everyday people (Sly and the Family Stone Suggestion for you) the Planets that have been transiting, stationing and the heavy hitters Saturn, Rahu Ketu, and Mars  have all been in action and have much more direct impact on the planet as a whole creating this current atmosphere.

The Eclipse time for thousands of year as a time to deeply meditate since the veil is lifted so to speak making it a very powerful time for prayer. Action will come later. Let us pray for peace, equality and resolution during this eclipse. LOVE EACH OTHER AND SERVE ONE ANOTHER

In the yogic and vedic tradition we are taught to get into water during solar eclipse so for those in the US  if you can get into water, either bath or shower, any water, during the eclipse it would help to stave off the negative effects. Yogi Bhajan  when in water the negative impacts will not touch you you are protected by the water.

Peace Meditation Taught by Yogi Bhajan in march 1979
Posture  Sit and put arms at the side of the body like a 'W'. Elbows are relaxed at the sides and the forearms up near the shoulders. Palms face forward, hands in Gian Mudra (index and thumb touching) .
Eyes  1/10th open, look at the tip of your nose.
Mantra
Sat Narayan Wahe Guru Hari Narayan Sat Nam  Chant the mantra continuously

Time 11 minutes up to 31 minutes

Comments YB
Yogi Bhajan: „Even the most lowly person who have or feel like nothing can become
completely majestic by chanting this mantra. Like you can see through clear water you
can see through the clear mind & beyond this phenomenal world realize God.“
The most  powerful ashtang (8-part) mantra. It cleans  out the subconscious as well as impurity  from your surroundings. When perfected, man rules the heavens. When the navel vibrates, earth and heaven's axle starts  vibrating. That's the human power.“

I wish you love and luck this eclipse

KARMA IS MY BEST FRIEND Rahu Ketu Transit

IMG_9288.jpg

I received many requests for a by sign summary of the Node Transits. I think it is helpful to give a short summary of the nodes in a simplistic way to help understand their meaning and application in our lives and how their transits practically play out through the communication from the cosmos assisting in the delivery of our karma's.

This is a very short summary of Rahu and Ketu as they deserve a separate and more honourable explanation.

RAHU KETU

Rahu and Ketu are points in space where there is occurrence of eclipses. They are not physical planets which can reflect light. Rahu and Ketu are also sometimes referred to as shadow planets. Rahu is the north node of the moon and Ketu is the south node of the moon. Rahu and Ketu are always placed opposite to each other (7th from each other)in the birth chart.

Rahu makes you crave all of the materialistic  things in life, money, cars, notoriety. Rahu very intelligent and trick it wants to get things done through shortcuts. It is one half of a Naga (Dragon/Snake from the Vedas) that was cut in half. Rahu is it’s head. That is enough of an image to tell you what it is going to do.

Rahu sits in is the house where we have the least experience. At the same time it is the house that we become obsessive about. We want to do whatever it takes to conquer what the that house represents this is due to its the malefic nature. IT can be very unscrupulous and aggressive in achieving its desires. It is wild and unpredictable.

Rahu brings a worldly desire that is insatiable, its element is Air and therefore can be easily modified by any planet who joins it. Rahu likes to cloud our judgement and our perception, creating illusion. It makes us obsessive

Ketu represents moksha and spirituality.   It’s  the opposite of Rahu. Ketu is liberation and non attachment. It helps to remove what no longer serves us and brings us closer to our highest wisdom. It leads us through the maze of material illusion, that is if we turn inward

Ketu wants to get detached from the worldly things and go towards spirituality / higher learnings. The house Ketu is in is the house we have expertise in and we no longer are interested in it.  We won’t feel the need to achieve the things of the house ketu sits this can lead to neglect. Ketu is the other half of the Naga the lower half where the waste is released

Rahu and Ketu are about expansion and hard work. Expanding the self and our consciousness and the path we must take to develop and reach our destiny. Rahu represents new territories and Ketu the secure place we know well and fall back to when difficulties kicks in

Rahu can act like Saturn and Ketu like Mars and neither are ever satisfied

The summary below is a general overview there are many things to consider in a chart to accurately detail how it will impact you personally.  For personal readings  and an in depth look at what this influence means with your unique chart and planetary configuration.  Please contact spk@inthenameoftehcosmos.com

General Overview by Ascendant or  Moon Sign

Remember the task is to bring balance to these themes that are being activated in your chart. Putting the head back onto the snake so to speak

Aries Your inner and outer world activation

Rahu in 4th During this transit is a time period where what nourishes you , your inner world , your contentment including the mother, and the attraction of wealth. Here Rahu can manifest an increase in travel since Rahu disturbs both positively and negatively. It also can mean you are due for a move. Rahu can bring an increase in responsibilities and the need to put more effort in your 4th house activities. It can activate the need to control others fix others, instead of strengthening your your overall position , the ultimate distractor Rahu is with its tricks. Rahu transit in Cancer, may make you feel insecure or create fears of losing your prestige your position and honour.

Ketu transit in Capricorn in your 10th can mean a difficult time period in your career and professional/ public matters. Ketu is not interested in cultivating it is interested in releasing. Your authority may be challenged or difficulties with your boss or a desire to change your job . Wherever Ketu is placed it's motivated to release and move on

Taurus  Enthusiasm,  Action New Skills and Connection

The Rahu transit in Cancer in your 3rd house will be favourable and beneficial in multiple ways. Communications, media, travel, are all activated . Its a good time to learn new skills and with Ketu in the 9th it may be higher education in order to master or to gain more insight. It’s a good time to experiment with new ideas and present your ideas. Malefic planets do well very well here  so take advantage of this transit

The Ketu transit in your 9th house in Capricorn is a good period for learning  It can be a time where a teacher comes into your life. This intelligent questioning and thoughtful reflection occur in this house. Opportunities to set out on travels to places on a pilgrimage or religious nature. Take care and don't be lazy in this period put in the efforts otherwise you may miss out

Gemini The Wealth of You

Rahu in 2nd and Ketu in the 8th. 2nd house of family, values and wealth. The 8th is the uncontrolled and unknown, the occult. Understanding your value through hidden knowledge is the key to this placment. The Rahu transit in your 2nd House will throw the spotlight onto your finances by creating challenges and complications. Teaching your to respect and value what you have and yourself for that matter. It is making your actualise yourself in a solid manner.

Since it is a snake (so to speak) it can turn either way it is unpredictable it can either bring gains or losses, it depends on your relation to the currency of you. So take care.

Ketu transit in your 8th in Capricorn will bring unexpected  results since this is the house of the unknown. You will be on search to uncover this could be an interest in occult, mysticism and philosophy. THis can be your salvation as the 8th house can be a difficult transit. As you try to find yourself you can seem eccentric and you may even behave quite differently to what your family and friend may be used to and this can cause tension. It can bring with it unexpected gains this does not only relate to money.

Cancer  Recognition and Connection.

Rahu in your 1st the 7th Your  the focus will be on the self and bring in new relations. The rebirth and renewal of yourself of the physical self,  physical transformation and house  partnerships and marriage.

The Rahu transit may cause some discomfort like a growth spurt if you like. Start mixing with people and present your ideas confidently. Work on building your own unique identity Rahu helps with this task in this placement it will teach how to act quickly based on your instincts and you will emerge stronger and more refined after its transit

Avoid  over-thinking as this can lead to confusion and muddy thoughts .
